It was the beginning of summer break. The sun was crisp and warm, and the most popular lake in Nashville, Tennessee had swarms of people there. The water was as fresh as a mint leaf and the sand was like carpet under your feet. It was the hotspot of the summer and everyone was dying to go. Baylee, Lizzy, and Britney were on there way to the lake. They decided to take the scenic route and go through a forest to get there. They had to walk about a mile or so through the forest to get to the lake and the girls were only half way there. They couldn't bare the heat for much longer and decided to take a breather. It had a key pad that require a password to get the draw bridge to drop down. The draw bridge looked like it was about one million years old. "Let's try to get it down" exclaimed Lizzy. "Why don't we just get on our way back to the beach. If we unlock the bridge it could be trespassing." Baylee said hoping that they would listen to her. Britney and Lizzy told her "It looks like it hasn't had people in it for at least 5 years, I think we will be fine." And they tried about 22 different passwords before they got in. "1234, really that was the password. I think they should of chosen a more secure password." Lizzy said, "Whatever is in here must not be very important." Lizzy and Britney started walking on the bridge but Baylee walked very slowly and the two girls nodded at her to come in with them, and of course she did. She was always the one who never wanted to do anything risky unlike Lizzy or Britney. They never really cared what they did even if they would have consequences for what they …show more content…
"Yeah, because if I put a million dollars in an old cabin I would easily forget about it." Baylee said sarcastically, "I think we should just go to the beach like we planned to do and forget the whole thing." "It's a million dollars Baylee, we don't come across this everyday." Lizzy said. "How about we each take $500 and leave, pretending like we never saw anything." Britney said and that's exactly what they did, and they didn't go back for anymore money after that. Except for Lizzy. Every other weekend she would go and take some money to her parents and all she had to do was say that it was from her work. She never took a lot, but just enough to help her parents with the rent, they weren't very wealthy people so they struggled but ever since Lizzy got her "job" they have been doing a lot better. She thought that since nothing has happened and she had been doing this for months now that she would be okay. But she was wrong. Lizzy was on her way to get some more money when she saw a police officer and a women dressed in a black dress, blue flats, and her hair was in a twisty bun that looked perfect. Not to fancy but fancier than most people in her town dress. She leaned a little closer so she could hear

The trio’s journey began with a long climb up a steep hill. As they neared the top, a castle came into view. They approached the castle, and Amber held up her hand, signaling for the others to stop.
“Hey we should take a hike,” Aspen said, “I saw a trail earlier.” They got ready and they headed out the door. It seemed as though they walked for miles but in reality they were like 300 feet from the
She tried to focus on how to get out of the treehouse so that the storm in her mind could subside. Before she knew it, her and her backpack were out of there. She hopped down onto the forest ground. Her hands griped firmly on the aged straps of her book-bag. There is no place safe enough for her to go.

In, “The Gift of Magi,” a short story written by O. Henry, the two main characters are blinded by loved and they do anything they can to please their significant other. O. Let’s go inside the cave.” The other two kids skeptically looked at the girl on the middle of the log, sitting between them, and they both became very still. Before she spoke up, the two little boys were wiggling on the log, kicking their legs, wiggling as kids do, but the moment she spoke those words, they fell completely

Her father had told her that, not a place for royals. But she wasn’t a princess anymore and the woods were the only place she knew would allow her to disappear.
