Sometimes certain fellow students inspire me to do my best. The way on how they act, study and get good grades inspires me the most. They inspire me to do my best on any type of test in school. Even if I am at a A+ in a class, it still means that I should study, or if I’m too busy then I should find a way to fit some studying in. That means I will have to work hard, be prepared whenever to study, and to show up early to school to ask questions. In school, to keep up you have to work hard. Even if it isn’t a test, you still have to put your heart and mind into it. For example, if you have a semester test coming up and you know that you have to study hard and you haven’t study at all for it yet then you should at least find some time to study. That could mean taking off work to study. What would you rather have, money or a good GPA for school that could get you into a good college? My answer would probably be money but that’s just me. To do your best you should always double check to see if you have any errors or if you …show more content…
For example, if you're like us here at Gehlen Catholic but we were originally from Spalding Catholic then if you have any type of sport you would have to wait after school til practice starts. In the meantime study for as long as you can, but if there is too much noise where you are then just go to the library. If someone is studying and you know that you got to study then they just inspired you to go and study and you should go and join them studying. Usually what some of my classmates do is they wake up early in the morning so their mind is blank and study even though they are tired, but it makes sense because they will remember it. I started doing what they are doing, study a little bit at night and then early in the morning hammer on it and get it through your
As I reflect on my extracurricular and academic activities, I see the essence of my future. I want to attend a great university (like the University of Texas); I want to work hard to become a nurse—a person who has devoted his or herself to caring for the well-being of others.
Given away by my name, I am not an American; I was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam - a dynamic city with over nine million people squeezed into roughly the size of south Bay Area. It was towards the end of my third year of high school that my family immigrated to the U.S. Leaving my hometown behind, at seventeen, I started a new chapter of my life.
The Ultimate Career Goal: I am extremely passionate about marine and wildlife ecosystems and all their inhabitants and have a desire to work in a career that allows me to work closely within these ecosystems as well as allowing myself to educate those that surround me about the importance of science. My ultimate career goal is to work as a laboratory and field technician for a reputable company or organisation.
My high school is completely project-based. We've designed restaurants, traveled to Mars, redone the trials of Exxon-Valdez and Bhopal, and had our own Olympics. All of our academic subjects integrate into the projects. In 11th grade, second trimester, the assignment was to build and maintain a utopian society on Mars. As part of the project, I was asked to define the value system of my group's utopia by ranking the importance of ten qualities that make a successful city, including health care, pollution, transportation, education, housing, entertainment, and others. I wondered how I would even begin.
from that. Grades and positive feedback are motivators for me. Because of the way I push
One of the most stressful aspects of high school and ultimately college is the ability (or lack thereof) to form good study habits. One may often hear the dramatic tale of a college student staying up all night in order to receive a good grade on his or her test the following morning. This student either completely fails the test, or does really well. These results depend on the students themselves and their ability to study in this manner. In this essay, I will compare and contrast fellow two of the most popular forms of studying—periodic and cramming—in an effort to allow high school students to effectively choose which form may best work for them.
In school, I push myself to always put forth one-hundred percent effort. I turn my assignments in on time and pay attention in class. When I do this, it helps others around me to feel the need to do the same.
Motivation is when a student comes up to you at graduation and says I got a job making 5 times more than I was making at McDonalds, and my family is so proud of me, that’s motivation. I can’t change the world but I can help make it a better place one student at a time. I have always been a people person, and working with new students’ every quarter is great.
Students with perseverance and a growth mindset let nothing get in the way of their success. According to the article "Brainology" by "Carol S. Dweck," "Those with growth mindsets reported that after a setback in school, they would simply study more or use a different technique to enhance their studying." This approach is helpful because anyone can also use it in their everyday lives, whether it is overcoming an obstacle life throws at you or struggling in school. Last semester I had a difficult time in my physical anthropology class. Our first midterm was coming up and I was determined to get at least a B. I studied so hard for that class, so much that I was in complete shock to see that I had received a really low F. After going to the professors office hours and seeing where I went wrong I was able to change my study habits and complete the class with a B. I could have easily given up, because at the point of seeing I got an F, a part of me was thinking “How did I get such a horrible grade, when I studied all weekend.”
I was born and raised in a family of educators. I am the youngest in my nuclear family. My father is an Industrial Engineer and my mother is a 4th grade Reading and Language Arts teacher. I have one older brother and one older sister. However, I am the only one of my parent’s children who has a child of their own.

College students must find time in their busy schedules to study. In order to keep up they must do daily assignments. Reading every night helps to prepare for the exams. Taking notes in class and out of class are also necessary. Students also have exams at the end of the semester that require hours of studying. Waiting until the last minute and then cramming it all in is often a final resort. Many students who have kept up just go over and recall the information. All students must find time to study in order to pass.
Life contains an unlimited amount of life lessons; my main life lesson has inspired me to never give up on myself or my goals. Through my life experiences I have learned that there is no such thing as failure. I am certain with myself that I can find success through hard work and dedication. My career aspiration is to help others as a healthcare professional. More specifically, I have a dream of pursuing a career in physical therapy. Nothing gives me more self-satisfaction than to see that I am able to help people self-improve. Therefore, I have committed to studying and preparing myself for graduate school. I am currently an Undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, destined to graduate in the Fall of 2017. There are multiple Undergraduate degree paths I can take to prepare myself for grad-school; however, I chose a path that can help me develop skills to provide the best possible service for my future patients. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences
I will make and keep a regular study schedule. Through the time schedule, I can properly allocate my time. Study is important, but we should also allow ourselves to have some time for rest and relaxation. Next, study at the right place is also an important method to study. The right place is useless without the right surrounding conditions. For me, I will choose the same place to study everyday. For example, library is a good choice to study, it was also a place that with zero distractions. When you are studying, you should keep away from all the distractions, such as music, television, movies, friends, mobile phone and so on. In addition, we must maintain the correct attitude when we were studying. Do not waste time, the time will not wait for you. Don’t be childish, don’t think than I can’t, allocate the time for study and the time for play. I never start to study while I’m stressed. You’ll get frustrated and it isn’t going to help de-stress you. When you are stressed, you should clear your mind for a little while and study when you can focus on
...room or step outside away from everyone else. You could choose to study as school; unfortunately sometimes classmates can be unruly. Because of unruliness that could make it hard to concentrate. You could leave the class and head to a study hall if your school supports one.
