Dweck," "Those with growth mindsets reported that after a setback in school, they would simply study more or use a different technique to enhance their studying." This approach is helpful because anyone can also use it in their everyday lives, whether it is overcoming an obstacle life throws at you or struggling in school. Last semester I had a difficult time in my physical anthropology class. Our first midterm was coming up and I was determined to get at least a B. I studied so hard for that class, so much that I was in complete shock to see that I had received a really low F. After going to the professors office hours and seeing where I went wrong I was able to change my study habits and complete the class with a B. I could have easily given up, because at the point of seeing I got an F, a part of me was thinking “How did I get such a horrible grade, when I studied all weekend.” That was the problem, I had waited till the last weekend to cram four chapters which is not that way to go. It’s safe to say that I learned from my mistake and never crammed before a test again. That is a very essential trait in having a growth
