Class assistants are very helpful to teachers and students. A good class assistant should resemble a good role model that is caring, helpful, patient, and respectful. I will be showing how I am a positive role model and how I am an excellent class assistant for the second year. I am a great dancer for this opportunity because I love working with kids and I’m very patient. I take acro, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, ballet, and hip-hop which makes me a very well-rounded dancer. Younger students will need a great role model to show them basic dance technique, how to behave in the studio, and how to do their dance correctly. I also have a positive personality which is very good because if a student is sad or discouraged, I am guaranteed to make them happy and help them to see how well they are doing like I have in the past.I am also a student who is very good at making friends and helping …show more content…
When the younger kids, and my students I assisted in the past, are doing their dances and a student makes a mistake with the choreography, I provide support and encouragement by clapping, smiling, and offering my help whenever possible. I always looked up to class assistants when I was younger because they inspired me and now I would love another opportunity to inspire more of our younger dancers. I always come to class prepared and on time and rarely have absences. Class assistants are very helpful to the teachers and I am a beneficial person. I am very respectful and the teachers are very respectful. Lastly, I set a good example by always wearing my regular dance attire and hair correctly, even when I’ve come to class
I walked into high school determined to become a teacher. I came out with a better understanding of myself and a new job in mind. When I crossed the thresh hold of Gibbs High School, I knew it was the time to find myself. I chose new classes that I knew nothing about including JROTC. I chose JROTC specifically because the rope bridges looked exciting and adventurous. When I finally got to try the rope bridge on for size, it wasn’t tied properly and fell while I was on it. This typically would scare someone away from the program, but it made me more determined. I was eager to learn and to grow from each experience I ran into in JROTC. Because of my dedication and willingness to learn, I rose through the ranks. I started my journey through the Chain of Command by becoming Public Affairs Officer. Once my
My traits have led me to my current path in ways unimaginable. My dancing skills allow me to persevere through difficult challenges, be more flexible, and adapt to change more efficiently, while my quiet confidence allows me to be more humble. With the help of these talents and traits and the lessons I learned from them, I am able to be the most excellent version of myself and make the best out of my life. In the present day, I can assess how these traits help me in school, at home, and in the dance studio. Ultimately, possessing these talents and traits, I have the potential to go far and be successful in the
While a main reason I want to attend Macalester is its focus on internationalism and multiculturalism, my community-minded spirit is what I will bring to Macalester. Since the summer, I have been a regular volunteer at the Middletown Springs Public Library. I originally decided to volunteer because I love books and reading, but I soon discovered that the library is as much about building the community through books as it is about the books themselves. Every year on Halloween the library stays open and instead of handing out candy, we hand out books. After a successful evening this year, I went home glad more kids had books, but it wasn’t until the next week that I realized why this event was so important to the librarian, Kimberly. She told me that, surprisingly, she didn’t recognize many of the people who came for books on Halloween. The reason this excited Kimberly was because it meant Trick-or-Treat for Books was reaching more people in the community than just the regulars at the library. It meant that not only were kids given a free book, but that they were learning about the library and all it has to offer year round.
After dancing over thirteen years at Annabel Timm’s School of Ballet, I was given the opportunity to help teach a hip-hop class for kids in elementary school. Every Wednesday night, I would meet fifteen little girls at the studio and teach them a new dance to perform in front of their parents. After only a few lessons, each girl became such an important part in my life. During class I would answer their questions about technique and different fundamentals of dance, but when class was over I answered questions about their homework and talked them through all of their problems pertaining home and school. I realized I wasn’t just a dance assistant to them, but I was a mentor.
This letter is to express my interest in the Administrative Assistant position in your Internal Audit department.
How to Write a Winning Cover Letter for Your Medical Assistant Job Application No matter what your chosen career is, never underestimate the power of a well-written cover letter to win your desired job. Some individuals also wrongly believe that cover letters are not required when submitting a job application, even when it was specified in the job opening ad that a cover letter should be included. So why should you make sure you write the best cover letter for your job application as a medical assistant?
Based on the key qualifications for the Program Coordinator Position, my experience and education make me an excellent candidate, but my passion and love for service are what make me an exceptional applicant for this role.
As a child I've always loved ballet from afar; there was just a grace about ballerinas that I too wanted to have. It took me a while to understand that dancing makes me feel amazing. Dancing would prove to be my pinnacle form of expression and the ultimate way to embrace freedom with all of me. Thus, taking this ballet class seemed like the smartest way to pleasantly incorporate dance into my busy economics ruled schedule. I thought I would be nervous on the first day, but I would find myself excited and eager.
Different forms of elections are employed to elect the judges in thirty-nine states in the U.S. The elections are either partisan i.e. with candidates endorsed by a political party, non-partisan i.e. with candidates not endorsed by any party, or retention i.e. with appointed judges running in election just to retain their seats in the bench. Given that almost all matters of socio-economic controversies ranging from gay marriage to abortion are settled inside the walls of a court by judges, the process of selection of judges itself has become controversial over the years. First started as a method to stop executive control over judicial authority, judicial elections are the most common method of selection of judges.
I am interested in joining the Honors College because I believe that it will encourage me to go beyond my boundaries and explore myself and my aspiring field of computer science in ways that otherwise wouldn’t be possible.
As I got older I started lessons on other styles of dance such as Modern dance and Tap and I have been learning both these styles weekly for almost 10 years. I have completed up to Grade 5 in Ballet and Singing, Intermediate Foundation in Modern dance and Grade 4 in Tap. Also, on a Saturday morning I assist the Ballet and Modern dance teachers at my dance school. I help in the lower grade classes and help the children learn their steps. I have been in three pantomimes with my dance school and this sparked my love for West End musicals. With my dance school I have been taking part in dance shows that run every other year and these are run to allow the children to show friends and family what they can do and what they learnt since the previous
As I continue to learn and mature, I try more and more to understand this amazing form of communication. I continue to try to capture and portray the honesty and sincerity that great dancers and performers show to their audiences. While I feel that I have made great strides in becoming the dancer that I want to be, I believe there is still much to learn and many ways to be challenged for growth. As I progress into the next phase of my life, I am eager to find new ways to learn and build onto my past and understand new ways to communicate and express
My contribution to the UIC Honor College community will include but not limited to community services, innovative research, acquire hands-on experience, and apply what I studied in class to real-life scenarios to make an impact on people’s lives. I have been in my School Honors Program since the sixth grade and understand that being in the honors college means more than just being academically advanced. I will bring qualities such as leadership, character, and service to the honors college community. These qualities are not foreign to me as I have demonstrated them throughout my school years. I have volunteered to tutor classmates who have struggled with their homework. I provided guidance and encouragement to classmates who struggle to maintain
Some people are visual learners so why not implement dance into the lesson plans, and from watching dances the audience is able to capture the emotions and message expressed. Some dance teachers instill in kids the idea that they can make changes in their own lives. Alvaro Restrepo, a dancer and choreographer, is a director of a dance school in Cartagena, Columbia. He created a program to give disadvantaged kids the tools to deal with and transform their lives through dancing. Through dancing, these kids are able to escape the life they currently reside in.
In 2009, I was a newly hired government civilian employee. I sought out professional affiliations associated with my new career field, which led me to AGCRA. I first joined the Association and later updated my membership affiliation to the European Chapter when informed a local chapter existed locally. It was then that I posed this question, "Why did no one from my organization know of the local
