Summary
During this episode of Suits, Daniel Hardman has returned back to the firm and has now been elected as managing partner of Pearson Hardman through a vote with the senior partners. Louis has teamed up with Daniel against Jessica and Harvey and in turn is made a senior partner by Daniel. That means that he now has a higher position in the firm than Harvey and is therefore allowed to delegate duties and work to him. Due to past history, there is unresolved tension between Jessica and Harvey with Daniel. Daniel therefore tries to formulate ways to get rid of the two. This was just due to the high amount of stress they were both under so they ended up fighting over something meaningless which resulted in Harvey sending Mike home. Mike however did not return to work the next day. Harvey then decided to visit Mike and the two had talked out their problems and they realised that they were just both under a great deal of stress. Suits addresses various topics that is done throughout the Grade 12 business studies syllabus and helps us to gain a much better understanding of these topics as we see how what we have learnt can be applied to real life scenarios in the business environment. The most evident of these topics in the series being conflict management which is seen as there is often conflict and tension between certain co-workers, professionalism and ethics which is when certain employees and partners contravene these professional and ethical principles as well as management and leadership which is seen through the various different managing and leading techniques used by the partners of the firm in running their subordinates. Throughout our business studies syllabus we learn how to deal with each of the following issues and what would be the most effective thing to do in each situation. Therefore the content in this series has been extremely relevant to what we have been learning and I would definitely recommend any matric doing business studies to watch it in order to gain a better understanding of how to apply what we have learnt and that our syllabus can be of great use in the business
