My European trip has developed me into a more responsible person. We were away from home for about one month and we had to do a lot of things that our parents normally do for us. I never realized how much I rely on my parents until I went on this trip. The European trip is a band trip that you can go to in order to represent your state. I signed up for it, thinking that it would be all fun and no work, but boy was I wrong. On this trip you had to do everything for yourself. You signed up do to specific activities and were given a time that you were supposed to be there. Take our visit to Arc de Triomphe for example. I couldn’t have my parents there to tell me to not buy something. My parents couldn’t be there to tell me when to start leaving in order to be back at a meeting point in time. The only time that I didn’t pack my bag for the trip was when mom was showing me how to pack everything as small as possible. Even though sometime it was hard, I am grateful that I went on that trip because I would be depending on my parents for a lot more things today if I hadn’t. I deserve this scholarship because I’ve got good grades. I’m in the top ten on the class and have a current GPA of 3.77. I’m involved in band, cross-country, basketball, and track. My grades are currently in the A- to A range. I also haven’t been late to school without a good reason. I have become a more responsible person because of my trip to Europe. I had to rely on myself through the trip. Because of this trip, I believe that I could have a better chance of getting this scholarship. I also work hard for the grades that I have now. This scholarship will help me in paying for the college classes needed in order to become an IT. Thank you for your consideration on having me as a candidate for this
