Seeing where you come from is crucial to finding your identity. In my case, I had to go to another country, Mexico, to find my identity. Here’s a little background into my situation: In 1995, 2 months after I was born, I was brought to the United States with my family. My parents, along with many others at the time, decided to leave their home country (Mexico) and come here in the pursuit of a better life. Starting from scratch, and my parents being 18 years old; life was definitely a work in progress for everyone involved.
