Many of us make mistakes because we are not aware of how to make the best decisions. Learning to be the best version of yourself will allow you to make better decisions. In the novel, “7 Habits of Highly Effective People”, Steven Covey, the author, describes seven tips that could result in you being an overall better person as Dr.Magee’s lecture on listening. A person learning how to be the best version that they can be results cooperative teamwork. The novel and Dr.Magee’s fundamental purpose was to inform their audiences of ways to become the best version of themselves by improving listening skills and going about tasks in an effective way.
Being proactive was the first habit discussed in the novel that will guide you to being the best version of yourself. It is vital to always be proactive because it will play a major part in getting a task done efficiently and effectively. Being proactive involves you taking initiative and staying positive.
