Human bodies are one of the most complex organisms on this planet; however, it might not be as complex if you know the meaning behind the body systems. The human body is all linked together, forming the systems of the body that allow us to perform many different activities. How does the body perform different activities? It performs these activities by its nutrition that it is provided, and also by the diet of the human body. The human body is complex, but once you know the reasons of why the body works the way it does, you will no longer think that the human body is as complex. For the human body to grow and maintain, it must eat. But why do we eat? The answer is simple, yet confusing. The answer to this simple question might be confusing because we constantly eat when we are hungry, and when we have a appetite to eat, but we do not know the true reason behind this. The human body must eat because we need food to be healthy, be stronger, and to have energy. These different types of food give us nutrients that help us to grow and recover. If these are the reasons why we should eat, what should we be eating?
Diet simply refers to what we eat, in a certain period of time. It can also be defined as when an individual restrict himself to lose weight. When the human body eats, it is usually when they are hungry or when we have an appetite. Energy content of food and the metabolism rate relate to thermoregulation. Thermoregulation is the ability of an organism to keep its body temperature. Energy and thermoregulation is related to each other because heat is the process of the energy moving. For the human beings, thermoregulation is needed because it reacts to different temperatures that surrounds the body. Our body shivers when the temperature around the body is too cold, and the body sweats when the temperature around the body is too hot. All organisms keep their temperature at a constant level by changing their behavior, and this is thermoregulation.
2) What make us eat are the Physical hunger which is real hunger, Emotional hunger which is type of hunger is spiked when you’re feeling bored, stressed, anxious, angry or sad and Mental hunger which is your mind telling you to eat but you are not hungry. Things we can do to eat less or eat healthier is more exercise because the more efficient the muscles get and the more fat they burn the more energy. Focus on Filling and
Animal metabolism consists of the utilization of nutrients absorbed from the digestive tract and their catabolism as fuel for energy or their conversion into substances of the body. Metabolism is a continuous process because the molecules and even most cells of the body have brief lifetimes and are constantly replaced, while tissue as a whole maintains its characteristic structure. This constant rebuilding process without a net change in the amount of a cell constituent is known as dynamic equilibrium (Grolier1996). In the combustion of food, oxygen is used and carbon dioxide is given off. The rate of oxygen consumption indicates the energy expenditure of an organism, or its metabolic rate (Grolier1996).

Metabolism factors affect obesity. They way one’s body might use energy is very diverse amongst humans. The weight one gain depends on one’s hormones and metabolisms and these factors are different in every person. The hormone that controls an individual’s hunger is called ghrelin. Gherlin stimulates hunger and bestows a feeling of satiety. Based on how an individual’s body is programmed, regulating one’s eating habits will help normalize one’s weight.
Nutrition is a basic necessity of life. Without a proper and well-balanced diet, it is difficult for any being, regardless of species, to survive. Unlike that of primates such as the great apes, the human diet is more full of calories and nutrients. Humans have a great understanding of what types of food are necessary to maintain good health. It is difficult to tell when the eating habits of Homo sapiens split apart from the eating habits of these other primates. Yet, one fact is certain. As human evolution continues to progress, the human diet also continues to evolve.
Our metabolism, “the totality of an organism’s chemical reactions”, manages energy usage and production of cells. We use energy constantly and our metabolism breaks down food through complex chemical reactions into energy our cells

Physiological theory is divided into two categories. Homeostasis refers to the body ‘s automatic system to maintain normal state. In order for the body to maintain normal state, it has to have water content, sugar level, salt content, protein, fat content, calcium content, and constant temperature of the blood. Another part of the physiological needs is the appetite which relates to the need of the body. When the body lacks certain chemical , then the body will have certain appetite for that need. All physiological needs are not homeostasis . The other needs are desire , sleep, and maternal need in animals. Physiological needs is considered to isolated because they are localizable and somatically (Shafritz&Hyde, 2012, p.114).
Proper nutrition is one of the most essential elements to being healthy and living a long life. People deal with food every day, and food has been a part of life since the beginning of civilization. What we eat becomes our diet, and our diet plays a major role in deciding how healthy we are and how well our body functions. Without proper diet, our body cannot carry out the functions it needs to perform. Most people have some common knowledge on what is good and what is bad for the human body to consume. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains are some common items people think of when they think of healthy foods. However, it is not enough just to know what foods are good for your body, it is also important to understand why certain foods are good for you and what they do to help the body function.
People is always asking: “Why is important to have a balanced diet? Why is necessary to have a balanced diet on a daily basis? And why do professionals tend to recommend a balanced diet?” The human being has essential needs to its existence: breathing, feeding, and keeping the body in constant movement. The majority of the people are aware of this, but they do not have a balance among these things and even more important they do not eat the adequate food to keep their body healthy. Food is one of the most important factors because it gives the energy the body needs daily. In other words, few words food is the fuel that provides glucose, which is carried to each cell of the body through the bloodstream. This process is extremely important and this is influenced by the type of food that each person consumes. A balanced diet is important for human beings, and makes reference to a good nutrition with regard to the food they eat; which contains macro nutrients that are carbohydrates, fats, and proteins; these provide energy and basic materials that the body uses to grow and stay healthy.
