I did this Discovery Wheel exercise not certain of what type of results I would get. I expected to do well. However, I did not realize how much this exercise would outline the various aspects of my life. I didn’t expect my life to be revolutionized by a wheel. Nevertheless, it has. There were ten (10) components to the discovery wheel which individually showed my strengths and weakness in a particular area: motivation, purpose, time, reading, notes, tests, thinking, communicating, diversity and money. However, when combined together, the wheel showed how unbalanced I am. If it had to roll, it would not role smoothly. There are areas that I am extremely strong in and others that are closely behind. It reflected my strengths as purpose, note taking and communicating. Knowing my purpose in life is extremely important. Without purpose and being able to communicate, I have no future. Each area of this wheel has its own uniqueness about are vitally important for my success. I am extremely excited that this wheel has assisted me in finding out who I am and what I am capable of doing. I am pretty satisfied with it because I am extremely strong in purpose, communicating and taking notes with reading, motivation, time, money and diversity closely following. As for test, I will continue to work on it. Overall, the Discovery wheel has revealed my strengths and weaknesses and made me more determined to succeed. I realized what needs to be changed as far as testing is concerned and how I must map out a plan of action in order to implement my plan. I realize that I am pretty balanced in the other areas such as: motivation, time, reading, notes taking, communicating, diversity, money and purpose.
