Taking any type of personality test can lead to a lot of thought and reflection on yourself, how you live, and how you interact with other people. I have taken some personality tests in the past that seemed to have been way off from what I believed about myself. This could be in part because I took them at a younger age and didn’t really “know” myself at that time. The results of the JUNG Typology test and the DISC Assessment actually proved to be fairly accurate to how I view myself today. While the tests weren’t exactly eye-opening for me, they did serve to confirm many beliefs and views that I had toward myself, my interactions with others, and what I enjoy in life. JUNG Typology My results for the JUNG Typology test were INTJ (Introvert, …show more content…
INTJ’s also have a tendency toward perfectionism and this fits me as well. I’m constantly trying to improve on things that I do on an every day basis (work, house work, cooking, etc.) to make them better and more efficient, and I put a lot of focus on improving with my schoolwork by reading and analyzing assignment feedback on from professors and peers. DISC Assessment I had a little more trouble figuring out the DISC Assessment at first and had to read deeper into this assessment then I did the other one in order to find the explanation of the analysis report. For the “D” (decisiveness) score, I scored moderately low and the description that goes along with this score fits me for the most part. For instance, I tend to lead by “doing” and I definitely hesitate to share my views and opinions on certain topics. I also tend to be conservative when making big decisions. My “I” (interactive) score was high average. Out of the whole assessment, this was the only area that I didn’t feel was as accurate. While I have an “open-door” policy with the people in my life and I’m confident when meeting new people, I definitely do not like having a lot of contact with other people. I often exhibit these personality traits while I’m at work (I’m a Corrections Officer), and my job is often chaotic but I always appear calm even when during a high stress and high risk situation. I am also good at calming people when they are upset, which is part of the reason I chose to become a Social Worker. My score for “C” (cautiousness) was high average which was once again fairly accurate for me. I like activities that require me to think critically and I prefer attention to detail, and keeping my home and work space clean. I felt that overall, the DISC Assessment was very accurate for me aside from just a few sections. Conclusion I was surprised at the accuracy of the JUNG Typology Test and DISC Assessment. It was amazing to me that in just a few questions, the analysis painted a pretty accurate picture of who I am and how I am with very few things that I would disagree about my personality traits. I did enjoy taking the tests and reading the results, and I hope that I will be able to use the information that I gained to help me learn even more about myself and therefore be able to

I found this assessment extremely useful since it helped me see my weaknesses and strengths clearer. Knowing what my strengths and weaknesses are helps me know what sort of emotions or habits I need to be careful of and what qualities I can improve and/or
Who I think I am? I’m not exactly sure who I think I am or how to describe who I think I am. I tend to act differently around certain people. Constantly changing to try to seek approval. Constantly in fear of accidentally doing something wrong; that I might say something wrong and all my friends will abandon me or leave me for someone better. I think this fear came from when my best friend was taken from me. I had known her since preschool, but she had met another girl and she stopped talking to me completely. I’m in constant fear that this will happen to me again, so I struggle to be accepted. I don’t want to be forgotten again.

I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
Using the Jung Typology Personality Test gives some insight into my personality preference. The Jung Typology Personality Test is a system that explains a formula of four letters. Each letter spells out each aspect of your personality; could be used to point me into a suitable career fields, tell the communication and learning style I use in my daily life, at work or at home. The result of the test shows that I am of the ISTJ personality type. From what I have seen from the test, I believe in its accuracy, knowing what I do about myself. From studying the Jung theory, it gives me a number of explanations to behaviors I have been practicing knowingly and at times unconsciously. Some of the benefits to be gained from this experience will
Openness, the first area of the personality test, is described as a person’s ability to think in abstract, complex ways. In this section, I scored a 70% which means that I am moderately open to experience. People who are creative, intellectual and adventurous tend to score higher, whereas people who are dull, practical and more concretely focused tend to score lower. Since I scored moderately, I fall in between both

4) With Agreeableness I ranked at 83% with the description of good-natured, courteous and supportive. Being my agreeable self, I agree with this assessment. I have a natural affinity for empathy and sympathizing with others. 5) In Neuroticism I ranked at 37% - generally relaxed. This is also accurate. I would probably rank lower if it weren’t for being a worry wart, which is linked to my high conscientiousness. Group Discussion: I will ask the class which one of the performance assessment stood out to them in the video and why?
Taking a personality test is something that I have had to do a few times. First in college while going for my bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, then while attending Airman Leadership School, and finally for this class. Taking these test all three times I have received similar if not the same results so I think that I have answered these truthful each time. Some of the tests that were required for this class were more in depth, taking 82 sub test
Some of my personality traits include; empathy, strong willed, and ambitious. Beginning with empathy, it is the ability to recognize and to share the thoughts to some extent. In many cases empathy leads to multiple good relationships. As a Support worker, I am expected to get along with others very well. These include my workmates and my patients. Being empathetic also enables me to be considerate. I am able to identify with my patients problems very well. They will therefore easily entrust me with their problems with the assurance that they won’t be criticized. In such a situation, as a Support worker I will be able to assist them without any barriers (Allen, 2006).
