“Choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life.” This is a quote by Karen LaValley, this quote that came to me going into career day. I wanted to find a career that I would enjoy doing. Not a job that I would dread going to work every day and not liking what I was doing. Out of all the options I had going into career day, I chose landscaping because I wanted to learn more and see what the career had to offer. Growing up I did a lot of things outside and hands on activities. Growing up now to the age where I’m looking for par time jobs I’ve always wanted to be in a lawn care or some sort of job along those lines that I could be outside. Lots of people I know don’t enjoy mowing, personally I enjoy it because I like to have things look good and if I mow a house or whatever and it doesn’t look very good I love having the mindset of trying to find good patterns on what way I should mow it and other things to make the lawn look nice. …show more content…

Also, no one wants to live a life with a occupation they don't like. Everyone should live how they want to live, live their dreams. To do that, they have to be willing to go through the hardships of life, to fail before they can succeed. No one should have to conform and just settle with something that’s not in their full potential. If you want to do something, something that’s important to you, you have to work for it.
Now this is the kind of question a mother wants to hear from her children. Not 'Can I play on the interstate?' or 'If I eat this will I die?' Something, instead, wholesome and good. An activity that not only teaches, but puts fresh produce on her table.
Professional Landscaping is usually an underrated job. Three ways this job can prove people wrong is that Professional Landscapers make good money, they make more money than a normal job, and it requires creativity, with each job different from the other, which makes it fun and entertaining with each job. Perhaps people can say that professional landscapers are underrated in the way, because people do not give them enough credit for the amount of planning and work they do to accomplish each job or task. Landscapers are required to get a lot of jobs done in a certain amount of time, while still creating an environment pleasing to each individual client. Also it requires a lot of dirty work, such as working a lot with soil, mulch and sometimes even manure. The requirements needed for this job can be very surprising. Professional certified landscaping, believe it or not, takes more education and skill than what some people would think.

For most people, a job that they love is only in their dreams and doesn’t seem like something that will ever happen. Author, Paul Graham, wrote this essay, “How To Do What You Love”(2006), to inform and entertain his readers about the importance of finding an occupation that can be loved for the rest of one’s life in order to succeed in that job. This essay incorporates many pieces of informative advice with the main point of “do what you love.” He elaborates on this by illustrating how children are brought up assuming that work is not supposed to be fun, but he believes that it is possible to find work that is gratifying. Graham is able to convey his points very well through his great use of organization and his supporting details to his thesis.

One would wish that life spent indoors be as green and fresh as the bountiful country side. With increasing density of housing and workplace transportation issues, the countryside seems further than we would like it to be. When many people hear about the term “landscape”, they immediately think that it means “nature”. The natural landscape does play an important role in our society but what is more important is the landscape that we make and occupy. So, what exactly is “landscape”? The term can be illiterate in many ways but the definition given by the European Landscape Convention is perhaps the most useful and widely agreed one. It states that a landscape is ‘an area, as perceived by people, whose character is the result of the action and interaction of natural and human factors.’ This definition captures both the idea of landscape being physical like a tract of land, but also something that is mind and social shared, something that is perceived by the people.
