Your backyard is more than just a patch of grass. It's a place where time-honored traditions are celebrated and lasting memories are made. That's why you need the backyard essentials that facilitate a lifestyle that can accommodate any type of backyard activity year round.
Here are five essentials every home's backyard should have.
1. Outdoor Grill
Besides swimming, what is the most popular backyard activity? Yep, you got it. Barbequing! So if you don't have an outdoor grill, you don't really have an outdoor living space that's as functional as it should be.
There's nothing like a good old fashioned barbeque when it comes to enjoying the outdoors and the convenience can't be beat. Why pack up the family and the food, load-up your vehicle

Eating Area
Having an outdoor grill just won't be the same if you don't have an outdoor eating area where everyone can sit and socialize while enjoying your world-famous barbeque now would it? Therefore, when you are thinking about how you want your new backyard to function, don't forget to include an eating area. An outdoor eating area is the glue that will bring your family and friends together and a gift that keeps on giving year round.
If you don't include a designated eating area in your backyard design, where will everyone sit to eat and socialize? And where are you going to put your patio tables and chairs? You don't want everyone having to stand and eat do you? Of course not! So don't forget this very important option in your initial design plans.
3. Fire Pit
Your backyard shouldn't be something that can only be used part of the year. That's where including a fire pit comes in. A backyard fire pit will make your backyard usable even in the cold winter months. You can gather around the fire to make S'mores (who doesn't love S'mores), enjoy a delicious cup of hot chocolate, roast hotdogs, pop some popcorn the old fashioned way, tell stories, and share memories from days gone by. No backyard would be complete without a fire
...er use of charcoal grills. As a market leader, its success will very much depend on entire category preference. Thus, Kingsford must develop “offensive” strategy towards gas grilling.
3. Texas barbecues are almost-always cooked the old style. When we say old style, we of course refer to cooking barbecues over wood. Texans use post oak, mesquite or hickory, hence the awesome flavors. Fire management is also very important with pitmasters cooking barbecues over low and slow fire, some even taking as long as 20 hours for a brisket.
with patio decor. Last but not least is the apparel. The apparel can be categorizes into nine
Sidewalks are different shapes and sizes, people tend to make their own decisions to which way they would want to go. Going through the motions on a sidewalk is similar as going through the motions of life. There are many turns that could get you to your final destination and turns that can also get you into places you would not feel so comfortable being. Staying on the right path and trying to get to where you need to go isn’t so hard but when you have other sidewalks with nice grass and big beautiful street lights that can be a very big distraction to the eye and that could cause problems in your life. Nice sidewalks sometimes don't always tend to continue a nice path so they can be very believing at first but when you make it to the end
For backyard grillers across the entire nation, there is really one simple, fundamental question that each must answer. That question is this: Gas grill or charcoal grill? There are many things that a person can take into consideration when making this choice. Is convenience the most sought after asset, or are you a lover of the process of starting and taming the fire? Is a quick and easy experience and clean up worth risking the quality taste that could be gained? This question does not have a finite answer, but there are many markers along the way that can point towards the direction of what side best suits the griller's needs. Although there are perks in each type of grill, a charcoal grill provides a more enjoyable taste than a gas grill
The small farms of America are scrutinized every day for what they grow and raise. Most of the small farms around America go through more and more regulations because the big farming corporations are able to pay the government off so they can grow and raise there items their own way. When most people look at small farms they see organic and healthy; for big corporations, though, a lot see short cuts and GMO's. Peter Singer also calls large corporate farms "factory farms" because they just keep growing and never stop but in the eyes of many that's ok. Shouldn't a small farm should have a right to farm what they want also, because of the good they can do for their community. So Americans should start buying organic and local because it can grow
It’s early Saturday morning, and my father is rustling about the kitchen and in the backyard. A huge hunk of meat sits on the kitchen counter, and wood chips have begun to smoke outside in a barbecue. A “secret” concoction of spices is slathered over the meat, and a mix of apple juice and other liquids are injected into the muscle. Once the outdoor smoker has reached its intended temperature, the huge piece of meat is placed on the grid for the long, slow cooking process. Depending upon the meat, the cooking process takes upwards of 8 hours to properly cook the meat, yielding a juicy, tendered cooked dish. Barbecue, the art of slow cooking meat over low heat and smoke, was almost a weekly weekend ritual at my house
If there's one thing for sure, it's that Americans love to grill out. Having a fun get-together with plenty of friends and food is something most people enjoy. When it comes to BBQ grills, there are two main types - gas and charcoal. There are definite pros and cons of utilizing each grilling method, but one must ask - which type is best?
The Georgia College gardening club is located behind the baseball field and adjacent to the soccer field on West Campus. The learning site is shaped like an elongated rectangle positioned on the edge of a gravel parking lot. A chain link fence encompasses the site, and the only way in is through a double-wide wooden door. Once inside the fence, I immediately noticed the grounds were bare in some areas while others were layered in mulch. Looking to the right of the doors, there were about eight raised seeding grounds with an assortment of vegetables growing within them. As we toured this particular area, I noticed a lot of the plants were dead and/or beginning to sprout—later I learned that most of the plants had been seeded at the beginning of the Fall 2016 semester and have not been doing so well. Cayla, our guide throughout this experience, explained that Georgia soil is rather dry and full of clay, so it is difficult to get a variety of food grown in such a small, infertile area.
“The Earth is 4.6 billion years old. Scaling to 46 years, human have been here 4 hours, the industrial revolution began 1 minute ago, and in that time, we’ve destroyed more than half the world’s forests.” - Unknown. One major environmental problem in our world is deforestation - what is that, you ask? According to the Merriam Webster Dictionary, deforestation is the action or process of clearing of forests. Some consequences of this include a large contribution to global warming and climate change (about 1.5 billion tons of carbon dioxide each year), loss of biodiversity especially in tropical rainforests, and the extinction of many known or yet to be discovered species. But, through some Debt-for-Nature Swaps, leaving forests

Pull out any shrubs or trees in the space where you plan on placing your structure, in addition to a 5 foot (1.5 m) wide space around it. If you have grass down, use a sod-cutter to remove it and cut it away in pieces. It can be replanted in another area of your yard if you desire, or be used to start a compost pile. Make sure the area you are working with is level. It is easiest to use a tractor to do this, by moving soil from one area to another.

Camping is fun, if you don 't mind bugs, heat, peeing behind a tree, and perpetual dampness. But there is something about sitting beside a roaring fire with friends that makes all the discomfort of the outdoors seem insignificant at the time. Camping is a great experience for kids, especially in this hi-tech day and age when the most outdoor exposure many kids get is the jungle background on their computer. If you are thinking about going camping with your kids, or someone else 's kids, you should keep in mind the following.
