Public transit is frowned upon by many different individuals. They view public transportation as for the poor, they feel as if they are caught riding on any form of public transportation that it will affect their image. Although, that is not the only reason people avoid public transportation, it is also because of how inconvenient and unreliable it is. The United States is considered to have some of the worst public transportation in the whole world, which is very unfortunate. If we were to fix our public transportation system, and make is more accessible to all individuals, there would be many improvements in many different areas. America has one of the worst public transportation systems in the world. This is one problem that we definitely need to fix as soon as possible. Considering the fact that since 2007 the percentage of people who depend on public transportation to get around has more than doubled in numbers. Public transportation is very unreliable, it is rarely on time, it is very dirty, and it is usually in a very inconvenient place. Over 55% of people who take public transportation are women.
