College is an alternative goal based on one’s self interest. College is used to support one self of getting a degree in a profession one chooses to obtain. It is a worthwhile task, but one must dedicate him/herself to the task. It is a process that can take up to several years or more depending on a career one chooses to do. Although some people believe college isn’t worth going to; however, college should be required for all U.S citizens because people will expand their knowledge of the world, gain skills needed for their dream job, and acquire a new independent life.

During my early childhood I grew up in Siberia, Russia raised in an orphanage abandoned by my mother who drank, did drugs, and was a prostitute. At that time little did I think about education,, most of my time I spent thinking how I would survive the life I was living. Till one day, wonderful American family adopted me and brought me to America, that's where my path for learning came around. Many amazing and dedicated children around me showed me how much fun learning could be. During my teen years, I spent learning by reading books and many other activities. BY the time I hit eighteen, It all became clear to me as to what I wanted to be. I wanted to pursue my career in accounting and finance as will as go for my CPA. The number of college graduates, in the U.S., is much smaller than what it can be. Some high school students think that it may not be worth it to go to college. In addition, other students think that college is the obvious choice of education after high school. Many questions will be asked during a student’s high school experience. Is it worth it?
