There are many reasons why SMU appeals to me and is my 1st choice for college.
One reason is that I want to get a high education, specifically in the pre-med
program. Another reason is that the campus is not very far from home, but it is
far enough to have personal space from family. Also, the campus' diversity is
one of the biggest factors for me because I want to go to a university where I am able
to meet people of every kind.
All of these reasons are simple common reasons why anybody would want to attend any
college. I also have personal reasons and experiences as to why I want to attend SMU. When I attended the college fair at my high school, SMU stood out to me. I was indecisive about where I wanted to go until I went up to the booth,
and the representative started talking to me about the school. She described the scenery, the tuition, the academics, the community, and so much more. That day, I instantly figured out my dream school. I went home and did a bunch of research and officially decided that this was the school for me. Another personal reason I want to attend is that I have an older family friend that attends SMU. She has gone there for 2 years and says that she is completely in love with the school and it is everything she has ever dreamed of. She describes it as a unique school, with an accepting community and amazing academic programs. Although there are many reasons why one would want to attend SMU such as the diversity, the academics, and the strong community are the top three reasons I would love to attend. My personal reasons also enhance my knowledge on the school and desire to attend.
UTK is a the university that I want to attend because it will give me a great opportunity to be a success student, and because the city it is located in is a beautiful place and has different social opportunities. Also because the school spirit and everyone there feels like your
Going to college is a big step in a young person’s life. That is why when going to college; one should know which college they would like to go to. For me personally, the college of my dreams is Louisiana State University. The top three majors at Louisiana State University are Biology, Biomedical engineering, and Business. The main reason I want to go to Louisiana State University is because of their amazing biology department .The main things that caught my attention about Louisiana State University, was how flexible I could be with my money, it isn’t that hard to apply and the admission process is pretty doable, and the campus life is interesting with many clubs and organizations that I could join.
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
These 3 colleges are amazing but there is one that matches with my ideal college the best, the University of Michigan. The University of Michigan compares very well next to my ideal college. It has a great pre-med program, it is the cheapest of all of the three, has great sports, and offers many financial aid programs. The University has a large campus and a medium size student body. There is no religious orientation and it has the highest rate of admission. This is why the University of Michigan is the perfect match to my ideal

Having a college degree in today’s world is very important because more companies and businesses are requiring that anyone they hire has at least a two-year college degree, which is also known as an Associate 's degree. High school graduates and other people who have had thoughts about going to college should do so because it is getting harder for just a high school graduate to get a job, this is a result of hiring companies and businesses don’t want anyone without a college degree. Having a college degree will open more opportunities for the future. By doing so they further their lives and create a future that they want.
Noted authors, Brandon Chambers, is quoted saying, “If you are going to fear anything fear success. Think about what you are doing and when you succeed what life you will have.” There are several different reasons why I could stay home, work and not go to college; I could go to work every day and make more money for the house, it’s easier, and I would be less stressed. Now, on the other hand there are many reasons why I should go to school; such as further my education, make my family proud, and make myself proud. I am attending college for several different reasons. One reason is to further my education. I hate feeling like I don’t know something, I like being the person everyone comes to for information. Also, because I want to be better prepared for my major, I want to be better then the next person with the job credentials. I want to major in Social Work and Criminology. I dream to be a counselor or an clinical service social worker. I want to help people who need someone there for them someone who can guide them or even just talk too. Another reason is because I would be the first in I would be the first in my family to go to college. I feel in some type of way I am setting an example for my parents and my brother that they too can go back to school. Lastly is simply because I love school. I love knowing more and more each day. College is not for everyone, but I will be successful by grasping the benefits, preparing for the problems, taking heed from experts, and working on strategies to be successful.
Since I was a young child, I always knew I wanted to be a teacher. I can remember forcing my sisters to play school with me, just so I could be their teacher. I enjoyed showing them new, fun math or reading games. Then I loved it when they were able to take what they learned in the game and put it to use on other thing. Now as a mom, I enjoy working with my own kids and helping them learn the many things they are taught in school.
When you are looking at colleges, you must compare and contrast the benefits and disadvantages between each college. One of the main things you think about is the college campus itself. Whether big or small, the campus atmosphere is important to college success. As you analyze the information they give you about their campus amenities, you will be able to see the major contrasts in large and small colleges. A big college campus and a small college campus can differ in residential services, in social activities, and in well-managed facilities.
...ount of money. When exiting these programs the student should not have student loans and awful interest rates weighing on the students mind and weighing them down. The student should be already gainfully employed or on their way to becoming employed when preparing to take this program.
According to a study in California, “about 70 percent of the students often or always feel stressed by their school work, and 56 percent reported often or always worrying about such things as grades, tests, and university acceptance” (Carter). Determining the perfect university has never been an easy step, but we may have to deal with it at some point of our life. High school students are all stressing themselves out to achieve high grades to enter top universities. However, choosing the right university should not be base on the popularity of the schools or academic reasons. As stated in Linda Frum’s Essay, “How to Choose the Right University,” an individual should consider post secondary schools through their location, course availability and environment.
