Without higher education there would not be any scientist or engineers in the world to continue to make society run smoother. However, it’s actually more than that, it creates long term friendship and builds independence.
Every person has different life experiences that make their opinions of college and all related topics quite differentiated. In the end, the only right answer is what makes sense for their situation. For some, a college education is practical and it makes sense based on who they are, and what they are aiming to achieve. For others college simply is not in their plan, and we as a society need to realize that that an alternative path is just as useful and significant as a college education. In the end, the path one chooses is only up to the
College is said to be the gateway to a successful career, and I think no different. One of the main reasons I want a college education is so when I approach an employer they see me and think success. Studies have shown that when you have a college degree you are more likely to make an average 20 thousand more a year. If I was awarded this scholarship money it would completely change things for me; I say this because my family has struggled financially and with this I would be saved from crippling debt in years to come. Another reason a college degree is important to me is because I am striving for financial success so that I do not have to struggle like my parents have. In life money is what makes the world go round, and with a college degree I would be placed in a position where I would be able to achieve a level of financial security that would support myself, and hopefully a

They will choose a college that offers programs for the major of their choice, where they will specialize and receive a degree. The decision to pursue a higher education will give the opportunity to earn a better income than someone who does not have a degree. College is more of a life preparation course that will help make sure a successful career. If a person pursues a career in engineering, physics or mathematics their curriculum would include more liberal art preparation courses, in order for them to earn their degree, so someone pursuing a degree in these types of careers should attend college for job preparation.
Why is college education important, it opens many doors and provides many advantages and opportunities. I believe without a college education you can only really get a basic job. College education to me holds the key to a successful career and a brighter future. A college education is like a very lucrative investment. This takes a myriad of hours, precise planning and sacrifice. Many people question whether college is really worth the money or the time. However, the reasons to invest in higher education extend past just the financial. People who question if college won’t be beneficial to them, don’t have clarity, I believe without a doubt if I work hard, and connect with the right people I and or anyone will find success in their own respective field.
Everyone has their own reasons for wanting a college education. Popular reasons for attending college include being able to obtain a better paying job, increase future earning potential, gain training for a specific career, and learning more about a specific topic of interest. Rampell, C. (2015) My reasons are more personal than either of the reasons listed. I do not wish to miss out on significant opportunities that have the potential to enrich my life and future. If there is anything in my life that I would regret it would be not pursuing my college education. As we get older life happens and the list of things we wish we could have done gets longer. Knowing that it is never too late to accomplish my goals is strong motivation to shorten the list of should haves. Obtaining a college education is important to me because I will have a strong sense of accomplishment for setting a goal that is important to me and seeing it through to the end. I also enjoy challenges and feel inspired by the endless possibilities for my future.
After finishing college you can be ahead of your colleagues. Your qualification will determine your position in the company you work in, also will increase your anual salary. “College graduates earn more, and are more likely to have a job in the first place” (Rotherham 79). Unemployment is a serious issue in the U.S. This topic is brought countless amount of times. Unemployment rates for people with college degrees are far less than a person with only a high school diploma. Also the chances of someone getting laid off is also far less likely versus someone with a high school diploma. In the article “Why college isnt for everyone” by Richard Vedder the author mentions “A person who compares the annual earning of college and high school graduates would no doubt conclude that higher education is a good investment” (Vedder
With the general acknowledgement of today’s society, vast changes are witnessed by time, following many interesting things attracting the public’s attentions, especially the controversial questions and topics about the college education. Some people think that college education is necessary for the high school graduates. It helps them build an integrated education system and teach them all the useful knowledge and skills so that these teenagers can get a coming bright future. On the other hand, other opponents claim that college education is not worth its cost because it truly brings many college graduates a huge amount of loans and debts, even some of them can’t get their dreaming jobs, so college
College education goes about the way to an effective future for people who are not kidding with it. Currently, a college education has turned in the base necessity in securing a job in different companies and although some people might think college is not worth the debt, in a long run it actually is.
It is easy to think college is not worth the cost to become better, but getting educated molds a better person, and creates happier people in the future and occasionally they become better in health (Leonhardt 25 ). Becoming a better and happier person is pleasing for everyone. Even former President Obama says “‘Education helps us be better people. It helps us be better citizens. You came to college to learn about the world and to engage with new ideas and to discover the things you're passionate about -- and maybe have a little fun’” (Procon.org). Learning and engaging in everything is a skill everyone should have, so like he said we should go to college to be able to do that. Additionally, education shows people to develop more intellectual skill and become more responsible (Pew Social and Demographic Trends). Thus said, being educated and smart is something everyone can do and college helps with that. Likewise, college can encourage someone to be more educated and happier. Reaching the point of happier and more educated is worth the cost.
Having a college education is very beneficial for a person’s future. The degree itself is not the most beneficial aspect of a person’s success in the future nor is the type or rank of school attended will be most beneficial. The education received throughout the years in college will be the most beneficial reward in a student’s life. The education a person receives from a college experience is not only the textbook education or the education provided by the professors but also the real-life experiences. The real-life experience benefits are what will truly matter in the future. A few specific benefits from a college education are the life experiences, the commitment to someone/something other than yourself, the skills achieved such as time management and organization, and also the self-sufficiency a person profits. College is also a great time to find yourself through the chaos of balancing life and maintaining passing grades. “Another one of the many benefits of a college education is meeting others from distant places with diverse backgrounds.” (McGuire) In high school, students do not have the wide range of people from different backgrounds. In college, students are introduced to everything new to life and along with that comes other students from different areas of life. Going to college and having the

All my life I knew I would be attending college. There never seemed to be any other option available as far as I knew. I never really stopped to think about whether or not it was necessary for me, or why it was so important; I was just funneled into the college curriculum in high school. I have attended the University of Arkansas for three years now, and have heard two main arguments over the purpose of a college education. One is that college is a place to train for a job, and the other is that college should be an institute of higher learning with no real focus on a future job. Challenged to form an opinion on this matter, I finally decided that neither side is absolutely right. In fact, I decided that the “purpose” of college should not even be an issue. College is what the student makes it. However they view college, all of the students will come out with some very similar experiences and benefits.
