Ever since I began my Freshman year of high school, I started contemplating about my life after graduation. Since I was in the fourth grade, I was awarded for my academic excellence. In middle school, for my seventh and eighth grade year I was in the Junior Beta Club. As an award we got to have the opportunity to travel to New York City and to Washington D.C. I took the chance of a lifetime to go to New York. In effect, after exploring the magnificent city, I wanted to travel as much as possible, therefore I considered different types of careers that offered a lot of traveling. Throughout the years, being in a big family also had a lot of impact on the choices I decide to make. Seeing one of my sisters working on her degree for accounting, made me evaluate that career path. My brother was a Mason and I loved how the stone work would turn out, that’s why I wanted to become an architect. Also, my father has always pressured me into becoming an accountant. But being in a small town also affected my choices, in a smaller community means there are less chances and opportunities. With these many influences, I could never settle on what I wanted to do. All four years, I have been in the top ten of my entire Senior class for acquiring a high grade point average. I was a Junior Marshall for the graduating class of 2015. As of right now, I am juggling with taking classes at the high school, taking online and a seated class at Montgomery Community College, and working part time. Finally, I decided to major in business and management and aim to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After four years and obtaining my Bachelors degree, I plan to attend the Art Institute of Charlotte and become a baker. After two to four years there, I want to proceed in my career by attending Stanly Community College and becoming a nail
