Learning is a lifelong process in which we ask questions to seek answers and knowledge, which in turn produces more questions. In turn, my curiosity and imagination have been stroked alive as I continue to ponder questions and exercise my intelligence outside the classroom. Therefore, I create goals for my academic work and degree aspirations to become a forensic psychologist as I retain and demonstrate integrity and honesty. Above all, years of volunteering in my community continues to strengthen not only my scholarly attributes, but my overall character as well. Volunteering in the youth program in Mosque Foundation Community Center taught me to collaborate and actively listen to adolescents and act in confidence when working within a group. During high school, as a member of National Honors Society, I would sign up for multiple opportunities to help district schools, libraries, dinners, organizations, and holiday events within the community, which built my leadership qualities. …show more content…

Superficially, I have received awards and titles for my community service and participation and role in multiple clubs; yet, that provides clarity to not only my scholarly attributes, but overall character as a person as well. They do not reveal how I helped young children struggling to understand a lesson or socially partake in groups, or how hard I worked to be on time and complete my tasks without moments of foolishness. They especially do not reveal how I became a role model to young girls and children as I parted advice and listened to concerns, or my curiosity with the different mental and behavioral developmental stages of children.
