I have been tirelessly searching for the best university for me for a while now. One with superb facilities, and a beautiful campus. One that offers me top education, a conducive environment for learning, and a memorable experience. A university that helps me develop both spiritually and intellectually. A university that allows me to find myself, not just in the classroom, but also outside the classroom. I guess it's best to say I've been looking for Baylor University. Generally, every individual wants to attend a university to get a degree. But does it really stop there? I honestly do not believe so. I believe it's more than just the degree. Rather, it's more about the experience I gain. Baylor education, Baylor campus life, Baylor athletics. If I should still be asked why I want to attend Baylor University, I would simply say the Baylor Experience. What am I looking for in this 'Baylor Experience', one may ask? Baylor University gives me the opportunity to study in a serene environment, and make myself intellectually and spiritually competent. Baylor University would only make me grow in character and in learning, and help me to use my God given talents to serve the community. …show more content…
With the superb facilities, I would be able to learn in many ways. The environment is highly conducive for learning. In addition, the Baylor community is a diverse one. I come from an usual background, and as an international student, I would only help add to that diversity. I would learn a lot from other Baylor Bears on campus, and they would learn from me. Also, I would participate in loads of extra-curricular activities, especially athletics. Playing on the basketball team for Baylor University would be a dream come true. Most of the extra-curricular activities will help me develop adequate social skills, which would help me in achieving my overall
I always wanted to attend to an important college. To me, that meant that the smartest people has to be there and one that had good reputation. After research and research I understood that my life have changed since I got to the United States. As an international student my opportunities were less, since I do not qualify for financial aid. My choices were less, but i realized that that does not stop me in going to college and prepare myself to be someone in life. I do not need to be at the most important college to prove myself how worth it I am. A two-year community college would let me prepare myself for much less cost and with great opportunities. Glendale Community College a small college would be the best place for me as a student. It is a place where I can get more attention for the teachers and I could pursue my career in medicine.
However, I believe God has lead me to Pepperdine to discover my true calling. Pepperdine will challenge me and help me discover the vocation God has planned for me. Pepperdine also had the tools to help me pursue my own personal career goals.
UTK is a the university that I want to attend because it will give me a great opportunity to be a success student, and because the city it is located in is a beautiful place and has different social opportunities. Also because the school spirit and everyone there feels like your
I will definitely enjoy the independence of campus life. The camaraderie, which will develop, should only add to the college experience. The courses will be challenging but I am willing to do what it takes to achieve my ultimate goal, which was alluded to earlier. The untapped potential is there. I would like to be given the opportunity to show what I can accomplish.
Texas I chose Texas because it’s the state I know most about, I mean, I live there! The area of Texas is 268,597 square miles, among the biggest in the U.S.A! The population for this state is over 27 million. That’s a lot for a state if you think about it!
"You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop and look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, '...I can take the next thing that comes along.'...You must do the thing you think you cannot do (Eleanor Roosevelt)." Every time I read these words, I am able to see the truth in them. College to me is the next step that I must take in life. Although this next step comes with much trepidation and apprehension, it is a necessary step that I must take to forever better and prepare myself for the life that I wish to lead. State University would be one of the best institutions for this, just as the choice of high school I made four years ago, Good Counsel, was the next step for me then. During high school, I have grown and changed through not only the education I have gained, but also through the activities I participated in. I have gained a lot of strengths from my time spent in high school. Although every weakness has not been erased, the next step in life will ease their numbers even more.
Meanwhile, I would transfer to attend the University of Texas at Arlington. Once I start the school year, I am going to surround myself with young people, who are motivated, caring and determined, too successful in their academics as well as their personal lives. I want to strengthen my communication skills, study harder, and improve my time management skills. And maintain myself there to obtain my Bachelor Science Degree and can go deeper and higher level status in my career field. I choose to apply to this Honors Program, because I like to be challenged and I work hard for what I want to
As a young woman growing up in an urbanized setting and attending public schools all of my life, when the time came to start planning and searching for colleges, I searched for schools that I felt fit my persona, that I would be comfortable attending for some of the most integral years of my life. My search included schools such as Temple University, and Pennsylvania State University, higher education institutions that allowed me to challenge myself, but at the same time would put me in a setting where I would be with others just like myself, fitting into the standard American university fashion.
(University Name) being the pioneer college for the course, is my first choice for pursuing it from. After consulting my Professors, Friends, seniors’ studying in USA your university has been recommended very highly for its excellent faculty & learning experience. I am confident that wholesome education that I receive at your university will stand me in good stead throughout my career.
It would be a unique, amazing, and wonderful opportunity if I were to attend it. Being a resident in rural Alaska has made me unfamiliar with big schools, since everybody knows everybody in my school, so colleges and universities are something
Purdue University is a public college in Lafayette, Indiana. It was founded on May 6, 1869. Many people go to this university and enjoy what it has to offer. There are many interesting things about Purdue University, for example, Neil Armstrong studied aeronautics at Purdue University and was the first man on the moon.
because they have a great system of well qualified students, supportive staff and faculty members. I want to be surrounded by a diverse cohort of peers and have professors that empower us all to succeed. Simmons is the college I know will fulfill my vision. Moreover, I want to be competent and confident in my field as a nurse practitioner and Simmons help me achieve all my
“Success in life has less to do with the choice of college than with the experiences and opportunities encountered while in college, coupled with personal qualities and traits. Employers and graduate schools are looking for outstanding skills and experience, not college pedigree.” (O’Connell, 2007). When considering which college to attend, many students consider prestige, ranking, and selectivity to be among the most important factors, as if a degree from a ‘name-brand’ school, such as the Ivies or Stanford, will somehow lead to much greater success. The truth is, however, the best college and the one that will lead to the greatest success and happiness in life is the university that fits the individual student.
Out of all the colleges I have researched, Chadron State, the University of Nebraska in Omaha, and Stanford University are my top three. Out of these three options, UNO is my safe school. I used to go to UNO for show choir competitions and, from what I saw, I love the campus. I also like how it is not too far away from home, but not close enough for my parents to come and spend every weekend with me. With that being said, there is a downfall to UNO.
Several schools were listed and one stood out CCU. I wanted to finish in a Christian environment because I feel that I would more about and have a closer relationship with the Lord and get my degree. When thinking about a relationship with the Lord these verses come to mind. (Open Bible, n.d.) says in Hebrews 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. And in Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Now that I am in my year of my bachelors I see myself praying to God to guide my steps to the right path where he would like me to go. Then when I am teaching at work and I see a child that has struggle for months to learn how to spell their name finally gets it. It brings tears to my eyes because they have finally reach success goal and I want to be there to see what else they learn. So I know I am right where I need to be. (Open Bible, n.d.) says in Psalms 138:8 The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your
