The reason why I got myself into graphic design is because of my classmates in grade school. It was my eighth grade year and I was off to a great start. I was always getting into computers and had a passion for working with them, but I never really learned how to use Photoshop. Once and awhile I would find myself running into a website like Pixlr. Pixlr is a free online Photoshop solution that I would sometimes mess around on. When I used the website, I would spend hours on end just designing, and I always wanted the real Photoshop, but I just did not want to spend the money on something that was once just a hobby. One day, towards the middle of my eighth grade school year, we had to take a class photo. This was the eighth grade class photo that is …show more content…
The known eighth grade photo was always outside of our school entrance, and right in front of the statue of St. Mary. Most of my classmates knew that I did stuff with computers because I was on the school tech team, which is basically the people who work the sounds and powerpoints at assemblies and got candy in return. They asked if I could Photoshop the class picture somewhere else, and myself being an idiot said that it is easy and yes, I can do it. Then they came to me later that day and asked if I could but the class on the moon, once again, I said it would be easy. I got home that day thinking what the heck I just had done, and how I have no clue how I was going to pull this off. I had absolutely no clue how or when I was going to do this, as I already had massive amounts of homework to do. I instantly got on my laptop, and went to the best website in the world, YouTube. After tens of tutorials later, I got a sense of how I was going to do this. I went to my go-to website, Pixlr, just to find out that they don't have the same tools as what Photoshop has, and they didn't have the correct tools that I needed for this project. Frantic as could be,
Everyone at one point has to make a decision on what they want to be when they grow up. For me, that decision came rather unexpectedly and was a result of a new found interest due to self-discovery. It all began when I was around the age of 8 and I watched a documentary on aircraft. It documented all about planes, how they work and the science behind them. I was immediately captivated and gaining all that information as a young child really hit the spot in terms of a new found passion and interest that I could see myself later using. This passion stuck with me ever since as I have spent tons of spare time studying different types of aircraft and collecting model planes. It ultimately helped me with my answer to the question of what I wanted to be when I grew up as being an aeronautical engineer. It is not a career most would pursue, but it shows how self-discovery impacted me at a very young age and the impact is so log lasting that it has influenced most of the decision I make now in terms of courses I take at school and the extracurricular activities I am a part of. Without self-discovery, I was able to gain an understanding of where my interests lay, the abilities I have to acquire complex information and the feelings I had towards my new found interest and
Before finally deciding on my career path, I had a very hard time trying to choose which path I wanted to take. After considering what I truly enjoy doing and what skills I possess, I have decided that I wanted to become a graphic designer. I want to be a graphic designer, because I feel that I would have a chance to use all of the skills I possess and be happy while doing it. In order to become a graphic designer, there are certain educational requirements that must be met. There are also specific job requirements that I must accomplish. Although there are many requirements, the personal benefits I gain will make up for all of the hard work in the end.
When I was a little girl, I always wanted to be something that had to do with Criminal Justice. Why? Well because I use to watch a lot of those crime shows when I was younger and they always had my full attention. Plus my aunt is a sheriff so when I could I would go to work with her and I get an even closer hand on look at CSI work. So going with her made me even more interested day by day. At that moment I knew what I wanted to be when I finished high school.
From small stick figures, to cartoon characters, to more realistic anatomy and detailed work. This only happened because of my dedication and constant practice with a pencil and paper. Though I do not consider myself the best artist, I became proud of my growth and motivation that branched out to other aspects of my life. This habit of practicing led me to take challenging courses and pursue other passions, like music. Though music seems a little minor in my life, it runs through the family, and I could never be where I am without the practice time I put in both my passions. The small details I picked up from them have helped me immensely in school. From motivation to not give up and the extra effort to understand the material, I created a process of how to do things, and I found myself grateful for the times where I felt lost, and found my way back. Through art, I found my sense of self and the motivation to excel and challenge myself in everything I
When I began high school, I was a little lost. My English was still frail- which was one of the reasons I kept to myself. When my homeroom teacher passed me the paper to choose a “career path,” I didn’t know what I was doing. All the words jumbled in my head and I didn’t bother to ask because I did not know how. I think I chose ‘cosmetology’ probably because it sounded like its Spanish version. Nevertheless, my sophomore year, things started to clear up, I was now considered fluent and actually understood what was happening. That same year I changed my cluster to STEM- I have always loved science and I truly knew that was my passion. Everyday after class, I would go home and read more on the subject. Passing hours on end reading through science journals and reading recent studies wasn’t a strange day for me.
If the moment is not recorded, the picture will disappear, and will be forever forgotten. The picture says more than a thousand words. If there was a possibility that the entire world fits in a single image, all people, their places of origin, culture, behavior, feelings and everything can describe a nation or an individual, I would choose that picture to put in a time capsule. One such picture is on my instagram, Karadzuleski 2 which describes almost all of these things. It is a picture of my class at the prom.
I started off with architecture. That was what I studied. Then things changed in my life, and I decided years later that it was time to try something else. So I decided to become a graphic designer. Then I came to Canada and worked as a graphic designer in a company for years. But I was getting uninspired, and I knew I needed a change, but I didn't know what to do. It was a point
My present interest in art is more graphic/typography based, although I do enjoy all areas of art. I have been designing graphics on my computers from a young age and have work published in national magazines. Not all the graphical work I do is computer based, I enjoy using traditional mediums in a clean graphical way, as I find it more satisfying working on a larger scale and producing something more "real". My current course has helped me "branch out" more; I have experimented in many disciplines successfully producing paintings, pastels and drawings, which I had never really developed fully before.
Many do not consider where images they see daily come from. A person can see thousands of different designs in their daily lives; these designs vary on where they are placed. A design on a shirt, an image on a billboard, or even the cover of a magazine all share something in common with one another. These items all had once been on the computer screen or on a piece of paper, designed by an artist known as a graphic designer. Graphic design is a steadily growing occupation in this day as the media has a need for original and creative designs on things like packaging or the covers of magazines. This occupation has grown over the years but still shares the basic components it once started with. Despite these tremendous amounts of growth,
Designing in any way is a career that I could say becomes natural to me because it all involves some experience in art and art is the basic beginning of it all.
Why did I choose nursing as a career? I chose nursing as my career choice because I love the idea of helping others and doing what I can to provide them with what they need. I also choose nursing as my career choice because I am interested in learning new things and using them in a social aspect. I have wanted to be a nurse for as long as I can remember. I always loved taking care of other people. I really went head over heels onto this career path when I was a freshman in high school. I started on this path when my mother fell sick and was in the hospital for six months when I was fifteen years old and the doctors could not figure out what was wrong with her. Finally after six months my mom’s obstetrics and gynecology (OBGYN) doctor diagnosed her with chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS). From that moment on I decided I was going to push forward and pursue a career in nursing. In eleventh grade I started taking medical course. By the time I graduated high school I was a certified nursing assistant (CNA). Since high school I have been trying to get into nursing school

Unlike many students who are unsure of the specialty they wish to pursue when entering college, my goal has always been to become a computer engineer. Becoming a computer engineer is not simply a decision I have taken lightly. I have thought very long and hard before deciding to pursue this career path.
