Art is My Life
From an early age I have always had a strong interest in art, and have been involved with it in some form all through my life. In year nine I realized that it was something that I might like to pursue as a career, I started taking it more seriously. The Chase's art department encouraged me very well and helped me develop my art skills.
I am currently studying Art at A-level and have had my work exhibited in a gallery and in local industry buildings as part of the 'Art in the Workplace' scheme which is organized by my college. The piece of my artwork which was displayed, and used in a business's workplace was a painting inspired by an Art Department trip to Italy. In my spare time, I enjoy running my own comedy website with my friends, which has enabled me to learn good organizational skills. Aside from art, I enjoy playing basketball with other students from my college every Wednesday afternoon. I have found this to be a welcome break from normal study, allowing me to exercise at the same time as relieving stress.
My present interest in art is more graphic/typography based, although I do enjoy all areas of art. I have been designing graphics on my computers from a young age and have work published in national magazines. Not all the graphical work I do is computer based, I enjoy using traditional mediums in a clean graphical way, as I find it more satisfying working on a larger scale and producing something more "real". My current course has helped me "branch out" more; I have experimented in many disciplines successfully producing paintings, pastels and drawings, which I had never really developed fully before.
I have had two part-time jobs involving computer related work, in which I have been able to bring art influences into. When working for Retail Futures, an e-commerce company based in Malvern, I designed their corporate image, and websites for clients such as Coalport and Parcel Force. More recently I have taken another job with a more technical slant, for another e-commerce firm, eplexus. I still do design work, in which I have designed websites and images for "Highwaycode.com", and Anglo Digital a successful venture capitalist firm. Alongside my practical experience, I am also studying Computing at my current college, which aids me to learn the fundamentals of computer usage and programming, an area that I am interested in.

Being experienced to being a member of the tennis team has prepared me and made me realize the importance of never giving up when times are rough and caring for others during difficult times. I know these techniques will indeed come in handy with life and furthermore lead me to my goal.
My five year plan is to get a diploma in early childhood education and medical office administration. I would also like to get some sort of educational achievement in art that will allow me to make art for others. I have chosen this plan because it fits my personality. I enjoy and love being around kids, like the medical field, and love art. I could have a job in a pediatrician's office where I see young children on a daily basis and if a room needed to be painted I could do the painting. In order to achieve these goals I need to focus on what I can do now and take advantage of opportunities. I have been taking art classes ever since I started high school to meet my art goal. I am now a senior and I decided to take this summer online course, just in case I could not get into the early childhood education program offered at my school. I did not want to graduate high school without having any knowledge about early childhood education. I think this is a huge step in working towards getting my early childhood diploma. During the course of my high school career, I have also taken classes within the health science field and will be taking two classes required to get a diploma in medical office administration. As of right now I am not working but have tried applying for a job in a day
Quite a lot of people have witnessed a tennis game, whether in person or on TV. Although often depicted by foreigners of the game as being “an easy sport”, Tennis on the contrary, requires quite a bit of technique and skill to even begin the game. Every point in this game begins with a serve, so if anyone was to hold their own on the court, they would at least be required to begin by learning to serve. In this document, I will be explaining the different techniques and postures necessary to successfully complete a serve and hopefully ace your opponent.
This last thought led me to seriously think about which area of design I should be researching for, and unless an opportunity arises for a graphic illustrator position soon after graduation, I foresee me doing freelance work. With this in mind I started looking into what being a freelancer entails, which led me to an article titled, ‘So, You Want a Creative Job?’ (Karjaluoto, 2012)
Who am I? Growing up I lived my life with the fundamentals of art as therapy. I participated in dance, theater, music, shop class, and produced photography, origami, ceramics, sculptures, paintings and drawings. There wasn’t a creative outlet I hadn’t tried in my community. I often took it apon myself to strengthen these skills by staying late in art class and by teaching myself new skills not readily available to
My life will be unfolding as I close this chapter in my life. I know that I will keep playing tennis; it is a life sport and I expect myself to be like my coach’s eighty year old, slightly hunched over aunt whom we have played numerous times, and who is still playing strong. The lessons that I have learned in tennis have prepared me for life; these are a few lessons that I have learned well: everything begins with love, take advantage of second chances, and no matter how close you are to losing you can always make a comeback. I will remember the struggle and the fun that my sister and I have shared and it will inspire me to keep my determination throughout my life. For us, tennis is not just a sport like it is for most players; it was a journey, and a journey that we are still on. Like life, tennis is something that we can always improve on and we will have to fight to improve ourselves until we can’t play anymore. Life is a struggle, but with hard work and determination, learning, practicing, and competing, I’ve learned that I can conquer
Never before have I experienced anything comparable to the sensations which arose from playing on my USTA Junior Team Tennis 14’s and Under Intermediate team. Prior to this team my club decided to piece together one summer, I had only competed individually, almost never together with other players, and for a young boy with social anxiety and fear of attention, this environment was one that I had never previously encountered. Being competitive players with similar abilities and interests on and off the court, this team became a family, and for the first time in my life I felt comfortable being myself and opening up to others. When we made it to Sectionals, my personality only grew, and I became not just a friendly face but a strong leader of the team, holding the best record among my teammates. All my social issues dissipated from my team, and my new sense of confidence allowed me to make memories that I will cherish for the rest of my life.
A bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field is where a student would start. Though, if a student goes into another field, it would be beneficial for him or her to pursue technology training to meet hiring qualifications. The National Association of schools of Art and Design have 320 accredited post secondary colleges, universities, and independent institutes with programs in art in design. Most of these schools include studio art, principles of design, computerized design, commercial graphics production, printing techniques and website design. A student should also consider taking classes in writing, marketing, and business to get an edge in this occupation. Many designers can also gain their experience first-hand by doing an internship. Portfolios are a necessity as a designer, because it shows the client the talent and experience that the designer has. A designer should keep up with the latest software to stay in the competition and not lose the competitive edge with other designers. There are prominent qualities that an employer should look for when considering hiring a designer; these qualities include analytical, artistic, communication, computer, creativity, and time management

When you love to do something, you want to do it every day, all the time, till you get sick of it. Even then that excitement and devotion to do it is still there. That is how I feel about art. I have a great passion for it. It is a form where I can express myself in a way words can’t.
My major is Fine Art and Digital Media and declared in Gallaudet University because drawing been my passion since I was really young. It is not just passion, what I mean by passion is that I do not simply create it since teaching myself to draw because of what I want to do with my hands and embrace it since it make me happy where it do not change at all like people tend to and favorite thing to do to get disconnect from reality for a while. I like coming through about anything within my experience and hardship by being in engagement moment of a mysterious process but same time, like to be laid back and go with the flow. Challenging for me as artists helps me to allow myself to be vulnerable and open to the experience
Allow me to pose a question to those who doubt my career choice. Have you ever been anywhere where it has not been touched by an art form of any kind? I didn't think so. “Art is as universal to our species as food gathering, procreation, community, and warfare” (Cherbo). Not only is it universal, but I would even venture to say that it is essential to our species. “It has contributed to the manifest needs of human social life from the beginning of time and continues to do so today-to healing, play, entertainment, wonder, celebration, security, catharsis, transcendence, belonging, and social placement” (Cherbo). Art is a part of our very beings, it penetrates us and invokes feeling. It is everywhere, and it is something humans crave. People will spend thousands of dollars to have something beautiful in their homes, so how can they tell me that trying to further my career in the arts is useless when they probably have hundreds of pieces of art decorating their home?
...on then come to my mind graphic design. I was influenced by Students which did graphic design in universities as I was keep researching, it was a fantastic as I have studied in GCSE Art & Design, Design Technology Graphics and A levels Applied Art & Design Graphics. It experienced to discover me that I found finally my deduction.
