There are many facts why I decided to be a teacher. I want to be a teacher because I like to help children. When my children were in Kindergarten, I was a volunteer in their classroom. I helped the teacher for almost three years consecutively. In this time, I had the opportunity to understand the profession and the responsibilities of a teacher. Being a teacher requires many traits. For example, the humanity to help others is a quality that they often have. They must enjoy their jobs a lot because they have a lower salary. A reason why I choose to be a teacher is that I had the opportunity to be a volunteer in the classrooms of my children, and this information helped me in my decision in becoming a teacher. The church has childcare for parents while they attend the Bible study classes. I work with special children, and I enjoy helping these children because they need a lot of understanding and love. They are wonderful children because they are very intelligent, although they have some special needs. When we work with these children, we need to learn sing language to communicate or understand them. My qualities, skills, talents, and characteristics to be a teacher are: I am responsible and I am like to be on time in my work place, I am patient and flexible person, I am bilingual, I am well organized, I like to help people out when they need, and I am wonderful mom and my kids tell me that all the time. The philosophy that I believe is the Essentialism because this philosophy focuses on the basic subjects, such as math, science, history, foreign language, and literature these subjects form the foundation of the curriculum.
