While you are waiting, your competition may be capitalizing on various digital technologies, creating a gap that could widen to the point that you cannot bridge it.
Executing a continuous digital transformation is going to require money, time and effort if any benefit is to be derived. However, failing to embrace continuous transformation could have severe consequences and leave your organization so far behind that it might never be able to
Providing effective training about ways to use the new technology is essential. Training helps employees perceive that they control the technology rather than being controlled by it. ...ent times, the television mediums has been slowly transitioning to digital format. Digital television has the advantages of high definition resolution and an electronic television guide. Despite these evolutions of the medium of television I don't consider it new, I see the television mediums as new features a result of inevitable technological advances. The evolution of the internet can similarly observed in this way. Packet-switching technology gave way to the ability to efficiently transfer files over the internet, this ability gave way to the dawn of the world wide web and faster internet transfer speeds lead to bigger and bigger files being transferred over the internet. From this it can be seen that the internet is not a new medium, it contains features which make it seem new. There are certain implications that are observed when the internet is seen as new.

It is defined as a company that is going through a transformation and is in a progressive step towards improving their existing capabilities. Organisational change is important as managers need to continue to commit and deliver today but must also think of changes that lie ahead tomorrow. Today, Americans are faced with the increasing change of technology in our everyday life. Sometimes the change happens and we do not realize how it affects our lives. I think it is always a good idea to talk to someone that is older than yourself, like your grandparents to remind you of the times in their younger years. Hopefully, that will open your eyes to the changes we face in this generation and the generation to come. In this chapter, the author explores the relationship of changing technology to changes in both the environment and social institutions.
Change was and continues to be an important component of these processes that I am responsible for because it allows me to develop efficiencies and economies of scale. As an example, I managed a team that implemented the installation of the Graduate Admission’s Customer Relationship Management system. The implementation enabled the Graduate Admissions office to more effectively track and plan the movement of interested candidates from inquiry to application in one system. This implementation and deployment ultimately altered the way two separate offices conduct business. The implementation required changes in practice and was ultimately needed for the continued growth of the Graduate Admissions office.

Technology has changed modern society drastically, both positively and negatively. Technology has influenced every aspect of our life, making it simpler but not necessarily better. Albert Einstein was concerned about the advancement of technology. "I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction."1 Undoubtedly, what has changed the most are communication, the spread of information, and how business is practiced. This is demonstrated by the way the Internet is used daily by millions of people to communicate, to sell, advertise, retrieve, and share information. Thanks to the Internet, information from anywhere in the world is at our fingertips. As a result, the advancement of technology has changed our life in many ways including; sharing of information, communication, business, education, social interaction, simplifying everyday tasks, replacing basic skills and jobs.

Being at par technologically requires extensive research and strategic analysis of acquiring new innovation. Enforcing new technology requires staff retraining and in some cases making employees redundant.
