Some say fate will bring you together, but it also may play a hand in your own death. In the story The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is a drama made by William Shakespeare, In Verona. This is where 2 lovestruck teens meet and fall in love despite a long-standing family feud preventing their marriage, but their story suddenly ends with both of them dying together. Romeo and Juliet are the ones who are ultimately responsible for their own deaths in the drama The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Some might claim that Friar Lawrence was at fault for Romeo and Juliet's deaths. The reason this might be is because Friar Lawrence was the one who gave Juliet the potion, which led to her death. Romeo is a perfect example of acting on impulse rather than stopping and thinking about the consequences of his own actions. “O, I am a fortune fool!” (3.1.98). Romeo kills Tybalt after acting on his emotions without thinking of the consequences which resulted in him being banished from Verona. “Then plainly know my heart's dear love is set on the fair daughter of rich capsulet.” (3.2.60). Romeo, right then and there, decides he wants to marry Juliet despite the long-standing family feud. “With love’s light wings did I perch these walls, for stony limits cannot hold love out” (2.2.70). Romeo is willing to sneak into the garden to see her, no matter the repercussions he will face if he is found. In addition, Romeo also played a hand in both his and Juliet's deaths. Juliet is naive and young and that counts against her and Romeo's death, but also in her actions she takes in the sight of love. “My only love sprung from my only hate!” (1.5.138). When Juliet discovers Romeo's true identity, she overlooks the dangerous possibilities that can happen to her. “It is too rash, too unadvised, too sudden.”
