Which is more affective six hour work days or eight hour work days? Well simply put there are some facilities that have their employees work ten hour days and some even twelve. Why is this made to be such a large issue? All jobs have required lunch breaks.
People are so affraid to work in todays work force that the "declining" performance is due to laziness not because everybody is tired. A six hour work day would be nice but we have bills to pay and unless you plan to raise our hourly wage or explain to employers why their employess keep requesting more hours every day I would suggest we stick to eight hours. When Henry Ford started the assembly lines in his factories the world of production and employment was changed forever. Mr.
Ford lowered work hours, icnreased production, and was still able to raise his emplyees wages. The reason he was able to reduce work days wasn't because his employees were working more efffectivley it was because of technical advancedment known as the assembly line. Now I do see the possibility improvemnt threw shorter work days by allowing employees a chance to rest and and not be over welmed. However I only see a select few jobs were that might be presidinted. I understand the posiblity of increased performance but I think it'll need some studying still. So in conclusion eight hour days must stay there isnt enough proof that six hour days are better. People need those extra two hours a day your trying to cut we as a work force cannot afford it. Also most of our employers can't affors the extra shifts they would have to hire. A little work and effort won't kill you I promise.
