Optimism. In life in general, what does it mean to be an optimist? This small but thought provoking question will be at the center of my essay. The world is a very vast and daunting place. As we look around in our own daily lives we see the hardships we all must overcome. As we all seem to focus on the negative we lose the little potential and hope that was to be had in humanity, This is where optimism and positivity has to enter in our lives, being a student in highschool like myself this is just one of many prime examples. Good and bad things happen regardless of who you are and how you perceive them and take them is what matters. To sum up an optimist, they will say that it is, after all, worth it. We must learn to close off and turn away from all of the negativity that we as a society are used to thriving in, no I don’t mean act as if the bad isn’t happening and stay ignorant to life's real horrors but on the contrary. I am simply stating that we must open our eyes to reality and also the positive side of life. Optimism can be good for you, its a healthy way to live.
