Hero’s can come from everyday life or a pivotal time in history. They can be a living person or a fictional person and sometimes they don’t even have to be human. One of my favorite movie states, “A true hero isn't measured by the size of his strength, but by the strength of his heart”(zeus, hercules the Disney movie).most of my heroes come from everyday life. They achieve greatness in the face of adversity. In my eyes heroes are hard working, under estimated, and a little crazy. One of my favorite heroes is Walt Disney, he fits my definition by always worked non stop even though people thought his ideas were non-conventional. He initially had a paper route to help with his families bills. It was during this time the he fell in love with film and animation. His ambitions could have been ruined do to world war one. He lied about his age and entered the war as an ambulance driver in France. Once the war had concluded he had tried many adventures including Laugh-O-Gram studio which was eventually incorporated by Disney. Even though he had not finished college and had very little money or support he was able to revolutionize the entertainment industry. When Walt was making his animations he was going through some hard times. For example he was working out of a studio and he was burdened with debt which forced Walt to declare bankruptcy .In addition he lost the rights to his original characters Oswald and worked hard to make a replacement we now know as Mickey Mouse. Walt Disney used the multiplane camera to pioneer animated movies with distinct characteristics.. The camera helped produce a feeling of depth and reality in an animated film. Walt’s creative pioneering spirit created Disneyland, which has revolutionized family entertainment. Innovations like audio animatronics and completely immersive environment, helped others experience his world. Most people thought he was crazy putting so much time and resources into childish things.
