Many schools do not require students to participate in volunteer programs in their communities as a requirement for graduation. Students choose to do different task with their free time instead of putting it to good use. Students waste their free time playing video game, hanging with friends, and sitting at home. Schools should require students to volunteer in community programs because students develop better people skills, students build their resume, and students improve the community as a whole. Student could learn a lot from volunteering in their community. Students could develop better people skills as they help out the community. Students could be able to become better at communicating with different people living in the community. Students should talk to other people; this will make them a more outgoing person. Students may be able to change the community for the better by putting a little effort towards making big changes. The community will become a cleaner place by just focusing on the little things. Students can do various tasks to help improve the community by improving the little things that make the community worse. If students were to volunteer and focus on the little things; they could make the community a cleaner place to live in. I believe that school should require students to have a certain amount of volunteer hours to graduate, however, most students think they should not have to volunteer in order to graduate. Many students do not have the time needed to perform various task to improve the community. Students can use their time for other different tasks instead of volunteering to graduate high school. Most students cannot wait to leave their hometown to move elsewhere. They do not care what happens to the community. All though these are all great reasons, I still
