School community relationship is a mutual understanding through which the school and the community link with each other for the achievement of goals of the community and school too. School is a social organization functions properly on the effective interrelationship within it and with its associate communities. An issue in a school affects the community likewise to what happens in the community affects school. This implies that the community builds its schools likewise to the schools (Sidhu, 2007). Therefore, school relation with the community is mutually interdependence.

The student use skills acquired at school to entertain and serve members of the community. For instance, student’s drama clubs can perform some interesting drama to entertain senior citizens at their homes or on any special occasion.
The partnership may involve use of school or neighbours facilities and equipment, sharing other resources, collaborative fund raising and grant applications, volunteer assistance, mentoring and training from professionals and others with special expertise, information sharing and dissemination, networking, recognition and public relations, shared responsibility for planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and services, expanding opportunities for internships, jobs, recreation and building a sense of community.
Encourage community use of school facilities: Often the school building sit empty after the end of the normal school day. Encouraging non-profit community groups to use the facilities is not only good use of resources but also provides opportunities for the schools to get involved in community projects.

As a result of stakeholder loyalty, positive relations amongst students, parents, staff and community members is frequently developed. Positive relationships allows teachers and parents to ask more from their students. A student is more willing to work for a teacher when there is a positive relationship. Parents will be able to encourage children to complete school work when their child has a positive connection with the school. This positive relationship results in a desire for staff and teachers to want to help students. Teachers and staff are less likely to help students that choose not to complete tasks assigned to them or students that have a negative attitude toward them.

Effective communication is a key principle for developing positive relationships with children, young people and adults. By ensuring that communication is effective it provides clarity on what behaviour is expected and a clear understanding of the tasks. In providing this children and young people will feel they are able to join in and it also provides positive experiences in variety of situations. The result is children will feel more at ease within the school setting and with those around them. By listening to what a child, young person or adult has to say a sense of value and self-worth can be achieved, which forms another factor in developing positive relationships, trust.

Promoting the sense of school connectedness can be done in many different ways and the ideas are endless because each school is different. Some strategies that could increase school connectedness are to provide more education opportunities to families. This will allow families to be more involved with their child’s education and be more willing to understand the material they are learning. Having a family involved in the education process will help the child be ore willing to learn and want their family to be involved. Sometimes parents have a hard time helping their children with school or be involved with school because they do not understand how to help. I think weekly or bi weekly parent workshops would be a very beneficial way to allow students and parent to feel more connected to their school and have a positive influence on their education. Social context refers to, “patterns of human relationships and intersections that characterize social life.” (Hall et al., 2014, p. 100) For example, the economic class of a student directly impacts them. Furthermore, kids with higher social class receive a better education. In contrast, students with a lower social class receive poorer education and the opportunities for them to improve are significantly low. My parents always treated my peers as if they were their own kids and they always had a perfect bond. My parent’s interaction with the school was quite overwhelming. They always went to my parent- teacher conferences, volunteered when we had student activities, helped out in school when help was need. They bonded with the teachers very well and even outside of school they maintained communication. Every single day when my siblings and I got home from school, mom would sit down with us after dinner and help us with homework and to study. She always found a way to make homework and studying entertaining and not boring. My community would make tournaments and have activities for the kids to go and participate. Including but not limited to basketball tournaments and coloring contests. When it came to having field day at school, my community would help support it by volunteering, making sure we were safe and having fun. When there were soccer games and baseball games at school, people from my community would come and cheer for the kids playing. There was never a dull moment when it came to the kids in the community. We can all agree, educators and future educators alike, that teaching students is so much more than just presenting information to them. There is more to learning than only speaking. We’ve all had those teachers who were brilliant in their subject area, but not brilliant in making the students know the information. These are not true teachers; they are only smart. They teach in one way only, and doesn’t believe in individualized instruction, even though we all know that “low-income students and students of color tend to feel less “connected” to their schools than affluent and Anglo students, and that older students feel less connected than younger ones” (Schaps). As a future educator, sometimes I fear that I will become like one of these teachers, and I want to make sure that each of my students enjoy coming in class to learn, and is able to apply what they’ve learned to their unique lives. So for this inquiry project, I’ve decided to focus on classroom community. I believe that every great teacher establishes this concept in his/her classroom; without this concept, learning cannot happen.
