One of the biggest, positive impacts in my life, came from Jeeps. To me, my Jeeps are not just boring, old vehicles, it’s much more than that, they are an amazing tool that is used for much more than just transportation. One of the most common reasons I use my Jeep for, is to clear my head, the simple act of driving brings me at peace. The greatest reason, anyone would use a Jeep for is entertainment, by mostly driving around in the middle of nowhere and trying to go over big hills, boulders, or any obstacle that stands in front of them. Jeeps and the drivers also bring a sense of community with them wherever they go. With each Jeep owner I’ve met share the same feeling towards the community, on the road and off the road. Once the war was over, and the military’s demand for Jeeps fell, Jeep had decided to repurpose their vehicles for civilian use. With the reputation Jeep had from the military they were known as tough, dependable and easy to work on they quickly became popular. Since then Jeep has acquired a following, full of dedicated fans of the brand. The Jeep community is full of friendly people that all share the same passion for Jeeps, for the most part they all will look out for each other by lending a helping hand to someone in need. There is always the terrible situation of being either stuck or broken down and without a doubt at least one member of the community will offer help. Whenever I come across someone in a situation like that I always try to help because I’ve been in those bad spots and know the feeling of helplessness that usually comes along when something like that

The speech to the Berlin Wall, and the speech to the Virginia Convention were both similar in ways of impacting people and using the same form of persuasion, but different when it came to a sense of hope, time periods, and the reasoning. Reagan and Henry use different different modes of persuasion.
In the July 1997 issue of Commentary, James Q. Wilson challenges the consensus among academia’s finest regarding the automobile in his bold article, Cars and Their Enemies. Directed towards the general public, his article discredits many of the supposed negatives of the automobile raised by experts, proves that the personal car is thriving and will continue to thrive because it meets individual preference over other means of transportation, as well as presents solutions to the social costs of cars. The auto industry facilitates the relation between city and suburban area and speed the pace of building modern agriculture. In the twentieth century, the introduction of the motor vehicle in the United States became not only noteworthy, but also vital in the development of modern American civilization. This technologically complex machine led citizens to vast future dependency on the invention. While mobility was suddenly not limited to alternative, more convoluted options such as railroad stations or bicycles, yet copiously amplified to aid convenience and expanded leisure opportunities. From auto-racing to redesigning infrastructure, motor vehicles allowed progression, digression, and essentially uttermost change to lifestyles of the American people.
Four wheeling has been one of my family’s favorite activities for my whole life. Both of my parents even grew up riding. They kept the tradition of riding in our family by giving me my first four wheeler when I was five years old. I would take it on miniature trail rides until it eventually gave out and I had to hop on with my parents. We have continued that tradition by going on many four wheeling trips every summer.
Automobiles play a major role in today's society. Almost every American owns at least one motorized transportation vehicle. Some say they make our lives better by reaching places faster than before. Others say they are a harmful to the environment. Have they made our society better or worse? They may be fast, but do we as humans want our environment to suffer because of time. Face it, cars pollute. And they release destructive chemicals into the air. Air pollution can threaten the health of many subjects in the environment including human beings.
It is easily recognizable that the automobile culture has grown substantially since the discovery of automobiles and creation of the Model T in the 1950s by Henry Ford. Automobiles have revolutionized over the years increasing in horsepower and other specs as time progressed. After obtaining my driver's license at the age of eighteen, I quickly began to believe that I was the reincarnate of Dale Earnhardt. No matter where I was driving to or for what reason, speeding was always a part of the equation. Young and uninformed of the risks associated with my reckless driving habits, I had convinced myself that I was not only invincible, but above the law as well. After receiving a speeding ticket and other traffic citations as the result of an accident, I was forced to re-evaluate my belief that I had no obligation to follow the law and in turn the notion of my invincibility. After much reflection and and soul searching, I came to the conclusion that life, like driving, is a gift that is very fragile and should not be regarded as irresponsibly as I had been treating it by driving so recklessly.
In this year Henry Ford created the first affordable, combustion engine car called the Model-T. The creation of the Model-T changed the lives of every American. Vehicles were looked at as a way of freedom and excitement. Soon after, every household in America had a car. The demand for vehicles sparked a whole new industry, creating jobs, more revenues and improving the American economy in every way. With so many vehicles on the roads, roads needed to become bigger and better which spawned a nation wide road construction. This also created more jobs and strengthened the economy even further. For the last couple months i've been searching for a good car that gets good gas mileage. I was tired of driving my 94 chevy c1500 that only gets 12 mpg. I wanted either a 99 honda civic or a 97- 01 honda prelude. I was pretty picky about what car i wanted since i was spending my money on this car. The car had to be a manual, have little to no rust and had to be a 2 door “coupe”. I've always wanted a honda prelude because you don't see very many of them. A nice honda prelude with little rust and that runs and drives good was hard to come by, so i decided to just look for a 99 honda civic. After looking for at least 2 months i found the “perfect” honda civic. It had no rust, it was a 5 speed manual and had “low miles”. I texted the owner and asked some more questions about the car, he kept saying it was a great car with no issues.

Technology has been the evidence of how cars have evolved for about more than a century now. We live in such an engineering savvy era where even an increase of few grams in a vehicle’s weight means going back to the drawing board to get unerring dynamic performance. And for these exuberant reasons, mechanical engineering was a mere choice rather than a chance for me.

To many people, when they hear the word “invention” they think of clever gadgets and devices that are now common. Such as the safety pin, zippers, computers, telephones, and cars- all of which have amazing stories behind them. However the word “invention” actually goes back to the Latin word invenire for “to come upon.” Basically an invention can be any tangible device or a process, which is brought out by the human imagination.
I lived with my father for my entire life, but due to his work I did not spend much time with him. My father worked at a different city; and thus he comes home only a few times a month. My father is a mechanic. He works at a company that is distant from our home. This was due to the company being the only one and the first where cars were being assembled in Ethiopia. Sometimes on the weekends I used to go to his work place. He would give me a trip of the place; the station was filled with vehicles, trucks, and motorcycles. It was separated by sections. In each section there were only one type of vehicle and the assembly process was shown step by step. From a fuse to large engine of the car, components were getting attached.
