Two weeks paternity leave should be a right for all male workers It is important for males to have two weeks maternity leave because of the equal right of all human beings to have children and to be parents. Both men and women deserve to have the opportunity to share the load of parenting without having to leave their jobs. It is important for the family structure to be able to be flexible with parenting roles as it will benefit the children to have a male influence in their lives. Finally, it is important for mothers to be able to return to the work force as fast as possible to ease the financial strain on both the family and for the business that the mother works for. By having the father at home, the child will also benefit as they will have a positive male influence on the upbringing of the child. By sharing the load of parenting, the level of stress on the family dynamic and the family relationship is reduced and the family is more likely to stay together and the child is more likely to grow up with the influence of both parents. Having the father at home will reduce the level of stress and financial burden due to the extra costs of child care and other child minding services. By allowing males to have paternity leave, women are more likely to become employed or stay employed as a result of being able to return or start work faster. The women that do return to work faster are less likely to suffer from stress due to a need to catch up on back logged work. By giving males the opportunity to take maternity leave, the business is also beneficial as they will not have to spend time and money retraining the staff members or employing other staff to take over from the mother when she takes maternity
