Professional leaders internalize pride and ownership for the Army. They adapt to different cultures, places, missions and circumstances. Professional leaders foster an open mind to accomplish the assigned duties; simultaneously they relate to others and gain human and professional respect of other soldiers and societies that trust us. These characteristics define a professional Army leader. As leaders, we know many people rely on and learn from our knowledge, attitude and action. Therefore, it is essential to maintain the integrity of the team and avoid generating or participating in conflict. However, if an error occurs, we must accept responsibility as well as face, admit and accept the consequences of error caused. Professional leaders also realize and understand the welfare of our soldiers and their families. This is a part of a mutual compromise between soldiers and supervisor; we provide quality and flexibility in exchange for good job performance.
