A challenge that all seniors face at the end of their high school career is the decision that will shape the rest of their future. Will it be Harvard, Ivy Tech, or a job at the nearest fast food joint? Of course, there is nothing wrong with not going to college, but for the people of society who plan to marry and have at least three children, it is almost essential. After making this decision, the seniors who choose to attend college must then decide which one. Campus size, housing, nearby activities, and available degrees and study programs are all important traits to consider when searching for the perfect college. In my own college search, Franklin College, the University of Louisville, and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis seem to stand out among the others. While Franklin College is private, the University of Louisville and IUPUI are both public universities. Each school has its own advantages and disadvantages, but when comparing the …show more content…
Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis is home to the only dental school in the state of Indiana. For undergraduates, the university offers a pre-dental program, which covers study in all fields of dentistry and also helps to prepare students for the Dental Admission Test. A program like this is exactly what I need to meet my occupational goals. Because of all the different advantages and disadvantages of each college, picking one single school to attend for the next four years can be a difficult task. Franklin College, the University of Louisville, and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis all have desirable aspects. However, weighing out the pros and cons of the three schools, the best option is clearly IUPUI. With the superior campus housing, fun activities both on and off campus, as well as the amazing dental program, I trust that I would be very happy attending IUPUI in the fall of
Graduating from high school is a huge achievement. Senior year is when all the important decisions had to be made, including whether to attend college or not. The next major choice I had to make as a high school student was selecting a college to attend. There are a variety of factors that finfluenced the final decision. Some of these factors included financial aid, reputation , college experience and college size. Choosing acceptance to Case Western Reserve University was a better choice compared to The Ohio State University.
The University of Pennsylvania provides a variety of different schools that help individuals grow into strong leaders. The particular undergraduate school I desire to be in is the school of nursing, which is the top school in the United States. The school will provide me with state of the art material and professors that will help me in my academics, and teach me how to become a great nurse in the modern medical world.
I am very interested in the pharmacy program at WSU and I believe it would be beneficial to my studies. Also, the undergraduate research program will be a great asset to me in furthering my career. I would love to go to Wayne State because of the diverse community it has. This allows me, being an Arab-American with a cultural background to interact with others of different ethnicities. My uncle graduated from WSU and is currently a physical therapist. From talking to him, I learned everything to know about medicine and working with others and how Wayne State provided him with the information he needed. I would say that Wayne State is the ideal school for me and will one day make me the pharmacist I intend to
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Is a question most children hear from time to time though out their childhood. Most people ponder on that question as they grow up and become adults. The question that usually comes up when thinking about what they what to be when they grow up is “Is college worth it?” Are the risk of the high loans, and the challenge of finding a job after school worth the time of the college education?
As the high school chapter is coming to a close, many students have to make a decision that will affect the rest of their lives. Hopefully, for many that decision is to enroll in a college and attain a higher education. However, as tuition costs rise, students have to take a second look at their options for a better future. A community college is that second look for many because it is the less expensive option. From 2007-2009, enrollment for community colleges has increased by 24 percent (“College costs and the CPI”). Students aren’t choosing a college for educational purposes because they are overwhelmed by financial issues. They are attending community colleges so they will be able to graduate with a lower debt. Some seniors have wanted to attend a certain university all their life and they work toward that goal through grade school; however, they are hindered by soaring tuition for that college. Students should be able to attend a private university if they mee...
Choosing a college is a huge milestone in life. The college you chose (If you choose to go to college) should fit your interest. Furthermore, the college should be a good fit for you, financially, socially, and academically. The college I plan on going to is AMDA. AMDA stands for American Music and Dramatic Academy. This, hence the name, is a performing arts conservatory located in New York. I believe I would highly benefit from this academically, financially, and socially.
Having a dream university is a difficult thing. You have your eyes on it and just it. It causes one to have zero interest in any other school. Mine was Washington

In either case, Wichita State University is a great school for anyone. Well, unless you want a massage chair on wheels. They both have great work study programs every single year. In addition, they both have excellent internship programs that have to offer. One specific thing for students have is hang out spots to see old friends. In addition, to catch up while playing pool or darts with friends as well. Wichita State University has a lot of great implement of success throughout. Just as well as the ideal college in surpassing expectations. If I had to choose a university, I would choose the ideal university because it has meals on wheels.
And for community college, I would go to Pellissippi State Community College for two years located in Knoxville,Tennessee.
I have narrowed my top schools to either Villanova or Lehigh. Both schools possess a great reputation in engineering, however, are rather expensive. I am already thinking about my situation after graduating, and by attending a university in Pennsylvania, I am given the ability to make connections worldwide by taking advantage of studying near a city like Philadelphia. I would love to attend Villanova University, which is located right on the outskirts of Philadelphia, and has a strong reputation for business, nursing, and engineering. They have the connections that can place me in a company where I can have an impact and achieve my goals and
Since my offers for football were all limited to Junior Colleges that can only offer books and tuition, I kept my search to that level. I then picked my top three of these and began to list the things I liked about each school and the things that I didn’t like. My final decision was to attend Hutchinson Community College. I chose this school because I liked the campus, the coaches, and I liked their facilities. Hutchinson is quite a drive from Topeka being two and a half hours away but not so far that family and friends can not attend games and come to visit me.
The first identifications of choosing a college that best suits me is by ranking my priorities . “Make an extended list of pros and cons ,....identify several aspects of college life - the size of the school ,for instance the strength of the athletic program and numerically ranks each by importance to you” ~ Katy Hopkins (1) . Using this method will be an eye opener when it comes down to my final resolution. Katy Hopkins also wrote “try to glean specific of job fairs on campus interviews” (2)this indicates to focus on classes that land on your future career.
is the best college for me for various reasons. One is that It is local so it would be beneficial for me for family support and other personal support. Another reason is that I have wanted to go to that University for a long time and it would be a dream to attend school there. The final reason is that in my community HPU has grown in fan support and has been getting more recognized. If It keeps growing then Higher level sport programs will look into HPU more. I want to be part of that change with it and since there are so many colleges that have the computer science programs why not pick one that has emotional reasons behind
I fell in love with Emory when I visited campus this summer. They have a prime location, considering they are right next to the CDC, are in a beautiful
