Introduction
The purpose of the Myers-Biggs Type Indicator personality type is to make the philosophy of psychological indicators defined by C.G Jung comprehensible and beneficial to people. On the other hand, several people realize that every individual prefers diverse learning styles and methods, which is the common way of learning. According to Howard Gardner, to lengthen the learning ability of people, more cognizance needs to be given to different learning style that people will prefer to receive data. There are different types of personality indicator and learning styles, but based on this assignment, I am going to describe two personality types and three learning styles.

Some prefer to emphasize on objective theories and impersonal facts (thinking) while some on personal matters and the people that are concerned (feeling). The personalities related to thinking prefer to find the truth before making their decision irrespective of the circumstances, talk through the advantages and the disadvantages, consistent and sensible while deciding and lastly, they are achievement oriented. The feeling personality makes decision best when they consider other people’s perception, they are interested in creating values, harmony, compassionate, tactful and study the topics they arouse their feelings. The visual learners prefer to use pictures, images, maps, colors, and spatial intelligence, which assist them to arrange their information, interact with others and give them a great sense of direction. They are great at accumulating information, curious and inquisitive due to the fact that without adequate information, the portrait of what they are learning will be imperfect. They are also enthusiastic about theory and facts; system diagram helps them to visualize the connection between parts of a system; story method assists them to learn by heart the content that cannot be seen easily. b. The logical learners are lovers of certainty, authority, rules, and they are more comfortable with facts, policy, and hard skills. They like to make use of their brain for mathematical and logical reasoning and they recognize pattern easily as well as group information to help them learn and comprehend it. They are excellent with numbers, involve in complex calculations and remember the concepts of trigonometry and algebra and work out reasonable complex calculations mentally. The four personality preference ISTF – Introvert, Sensing, Thinking and Judging, joined together to form the person that I am. After the completion of the Meyers-Briggs Personality test, I understand how I am and how I can better relate to other personalities. Being willing to change and adapt to my strengths will help me grow as a leader.
In the area of decision making I believe myself to be more Thinking than Feeling. An example of the thinking preference can be seen in my role as a consistent, objective disciplinarian. My firm-mindedness in this area has produced children that are a joy to teach as well as to take out in public. Our family receives numerous compliments on how well behaved and delightful our children are. I believe it is my desire for justice and my clarity in rules and expectations that make this achievable for my children.
Personality types stems from Carl Jung spend time observing personality preferences, which he later on published in his in 1921. Carl’s discovery of the two major typical differences in human psychology such as extrovert and introvert influenced Katherine Cook Briggs and her daughter Isabel Myers theories and lead them to experiment during World War II. Myers and Briggs worked on methods that would help women, who heretofore had no prior workplace experience, find those types of jobs that were most comfortable and effective (Myers & Myers, 1996). The three learning styles I have chosen to write about would meet the needs of the learners and provide an effective learner/teacher experience. The Myers and Briggs Analysis is a series of questions that when answered are examined and grouped together in order to determine the personalities of those taking this test. This particular test can result in sixteen different outcomes or types of personalities, which is determined by four different categories that judge if you are introverted or extroverted, use your senses or your intuition, your choice to think or use your feelings, and finally if you are judgmental or perceptive. These series of questions are designed to judge our personalities and help us to determine which career pathways we will be most suited for based on our personality traits and abilities to work well with others, which is important for our future decisions.
The bases of this paper will be based on the results that I had obtained when I took the Myers-Briggs personality test. The results that I had obtained was that I was determined to be an ENFJ. I will go into depth about letter and how each represents that a specific aspect of my personality. The results that I had received were not what I had expected, but the more I read about the trait the more I realized how it suited me. I will also talk about the information that I had found useful from the book, Type Talk at Work: How the 16 Personalities Types Determine Your Success on the Job by Otto Kroeger, which gave me insight on how to interact with other personality types especially in the work environment. The information that I absorbed from the personality test and from the book will go into use in my personal and work life so that both environments will be cohesive and peaceful.
A personality is something unique that everyone has; though a group of people might fit into a single block—everyone experiences and reacts to situations differently. According to Carl Jung and Isabel Myer-Briggs, there are 16 varying types of personality that are centered around eight contradictory preferences of general attitude (introversion vs. extroversion), perception (intuition vs. sensing), judging (thinking vs. feeling), and the way of processing the above information by either being more dominant in judging or perceiving. According to Carl Jung’s typology theory each individual develops personal preferences which become the foundation for how they face life’s challenges and interact with others. Based on this knowledge Isabel Briggs Myers developed the Myers-Briggs Type indicator (MBTI). This test helps individuals identify and study their individual preference and those of others. After taking the Jung Typology Test, which is based on the MBTI, it was confirmed that my four dominate personality preferences are Introversion, iNtuition, Thinking and Judging. Throughout the beginning of this semester I have looked at how individuals behave within business organizations. Through various exercises and results, I have found a number of patterns within my behavior and interests. I have become aware what interests me, and a number of skills/abilities I was oblivious I had. This reflection and in class exercises has allowed me to expand my skills, abilities, and behaviors, well fitting them into prospective future employment.
The Myers Briggs personality test is a test that you take that will put in the category of one of the personalities. There are four points that help tell you personality. If you’re an introvert or extravert, if you use intuition or sensing, if you use thinking or feeling, and if you use judging or perceiving.The test asks questions that determines those traits. When I took my personality test I turned out to be a campaigner. A campaigner is very talkative, and do things that they want to do not what others want them to do. We are very nice and friendly. We are also very easy to talk to. If you are having trouble knowing what a campaigner is like, this whole essay is going to be just about them. I think the big reason I am this personality type is because I am very talkative and friendly.
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) has recognized my profile as Introvert, Intuitive, Thinking and Judgment (INTJ). As an introvert, I can get nervous among other people. It does not pose a problem for an individual. On the other hand, in order to be an effective leader, it is important for me to keep a profound communicational relationship with my subordinates. Without proper communication skills, it is not possible to establish a functional relationship with my subordinates. This may jeopardize the success of any activity that we are involved in. The introvert part is perhaps the major barrier which may keep me away from being an effective leader.
The Jung Typology Test is designed to give the participant a 4-letter formula which describes strength preferences of one’s personality type. There are many people in this world; no two people are the same. When considering personality theories it is important to note that not all theories apply to all situations or all people. Different theories have different approaches. It is important to know the person before making assumptions about the proper theory to apply to the person or in any given situation. The purpose of this paper is to analysis how different personality theorists could interoperate different individual circumstances and behaviors based on case examples provided by the instructor.
Big Five Personality Model According to Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator or MBTI, the Big Five Model portrays five different dimensions within the human personality. These dimensions include conscientiousness, emotional stability, extraversion, openness to experience, and agreeableness. Mrs. Barra appears to score high on all five dimensions. A few examples that apply to Barra's personality trait assumptions include her role as CEO during a major General Motors (GM) scandal, her management tactics regarding culture change, her lifetime growth within the company, her GM innovative business plan, and Barra's overall personality peer review.
My four-letter assessment was ENFP; the percentages to my assessment were Extravert 3%, Intuitive 6%, Feeling 28%, and Perceiving 19%. I would describe my four letters as being someone who thinks before they act and very observant. I think one of the main things I learned about ENFP, is if something interest me, I am likely to care more about it and work hard. However, if it is a topic or activity I don’t like, there is a chance I won’t be involved with it. As an ENFP, I like to do my own thing and make my own decisions no matter what.
Spatial learners are able to visualizing things very easily. They work well with colors and pictures, and using their imagination. These learners are very artistic, but they sometimes find it hard to express themselves. For example, asking them to draw a picture will get their feelings across better than simply asking them what is wrong (Reiff, 1996). It is important to encourage any sort of creative attempt that these learners make. It might seem as though they are wasting time when in actuality they are thinking hard about something that they have not put on paper yet (Mantle, 2002).
