We finally arrived at the cabins after a treacherous eight mile hike up and back Hawk Hill, a mountain on looking the raging but soothing waves of the ocean. Hannah, along with the rest of her class, went to the dining hall to enjoy a delicious meal. After the now class of full bellies finished their meals they rushed to their night activity. Every last one of them crammed into a small room on the campus. They talked about the trip to Muir Woods the next day. The talk took about twenty minutes then they separated into small groups and perform skits. When the night activity ended, everyone went back to their dorms where Mr.Monroe, their homeroom teacher, sat on a chair in the corner of the room with the look of despair and anger on his face. …show more content…

As she rose from her spot she felt eyes of many staring at her, whispering. What had she done wrong? Following the angry teacher, her heart beated rapidly inside of her. She was scared for what awaits her outside the door. Behind her, the door slammed and she jumped in startlement, then continued to walk over to Mr. Monroe at the end of the ramp. The first words Mr. Monroe said to Hannah were, “don’t worry you're not in trouble.” “Whew” Hannah let out a huge breath that she was holding. The two of them walked down to the dining hall, then back up again to the dorm, all while talking about what happened the night before in the girls bedroom. Once they arrived at Raven Dorm, none of the downstairs lights were on. Hannah went into the dark room with Mr. Monroe behind her. He paused at the door, holding his hand on the light switch. “Click”, the lights went on and the whole seventh grade class jumped up from the floor and yelled, “SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!” This amazed Hannah! Everyone ended the day with delicious cupcakes with blue frosting for all of the seventh graders and Hannah got her own mini chocolate
