The project integration management is a core process that assists in managing the complexity of a range of interrelated projects elements (Baccarini, D 1997, p.101). Project integration management includes ‘…the processes the processes and activities to identify, define, combine, unify, and coordinate the various processes and project management activities within the Project Management Process Groups’ (PMI 2013, p63). Project integration management becomes complex when drawing on knowledge from different disciplines as there is risk that each team may work as separate and distinct parts (Meredith, J & Mantel, S 2012, p.245). Coordinating the work and timing of different groups can be assisted by the use of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and responsibility assignment matrix (RACI) as these display how the members of the project team must interact and identifies responsibilities (Meredith, J & Mantel, S 2012, p.245). The project plan identifies how company resources will be integrated and provides a framework to assist in eliminating conflicts, provides a standard communications tool, identifies objectives and requirements, identifying inconsistencies and risks, and contains baseline schedules for progress analysis and reporting (Kerzner, H 2009, p. 459). The Bridge Splay and Guard Rail project competes with other disciplines within the …show more content…
Project control should be a fact finding and remedial action process to predict what may happen in the future and take corrective action to meet project outcomes (Cleland & Ireland 2002, p. 319). Benefits of project monitoring and control are measuring the status of the project during the life cycle and assessment of success at completion of the project (Cleland & Ireland 2002, p.

Talking directly to the stakeholders will help answer most of these key questions. For IT projects meeting the key stakeholders in a forum to review progress on the project is key to its success. Therefore a well drawn up project plan will ensure that there is enough representation of the stakeholders at the regular project review meetings.
Project planning in teams is an integral constituent of team dynamics. When a team has been already formed it is time for it to start working on a project in order to reach the goals of the team or company in a whole. It is necessary to keep in mind two peculiarities about team projects. The first peculiarity is that all projects no matter what their goals are need to be carefully planned and structured before the implementation. And the second peculiarity is that the given projects will be performed not by an individual but a group of individuals, which may result in a certain conflict of interests or other problems, which may be encountered while working with a group of people.
A specific work plan should be developed and tasks divided. First, the steps of the particular task should be outlined, then what resources will the team need to complete the task.
The project management plan will help the organization to manage all the foreseeable risks in a timely, proactive, effective, and appropriate manner. The aim of the project management process is to maximize the chances of the project achieving its objectives, while minimizing the risks and keeping them at an acceptable level. The scope and objective of the risk management plan are as follows:

The importance of project oversight assists top management in mitigating risks and allows them to be proactive and take the necessary corrective action when problems arise. By proactively monitoring the project managers the company can reduce the amount of delays ensuring the project stays on track. This is important to the organization due to the fact its serves in the best interest of the stakeholders of the entire project.

It is well known that the team work is far better than performing a task individually. Such kind of practice plays a very important role in software engineering. A lot of things can be achieved together with the combination of diversified people, as they input different tactics and skills so that the main objective of a certain mission can be accomplished appropriately. Even though teaming up and working for a project is essential and helpful; there exist some issues that could bring interruptions and conflicts in the team.
When planning a new project, how the project will be managed is one of the most important factors. The importance of a managers will determine the success of the project. The success of the project will be determined by how well it is managed. Project management is referred to as the discipline that entails the processes of carefully planning, organizing, controlling, and motivating the organization resources so as to foster and facilitate the achievement of specific established and desired goals and meet the specific criteria of success required in the organization (Larson, 2014). Over the course of this paper I will be discussing and analyzing the importance of project management.
Team approach shrinks a large complex issue or opportunity into several smaller parts where it can be solved in parallel. Once fall fragments into individual tasks, and are appointed for individuals to carry out assigned tasks, but where are the systems in place to keep track of the work done by the members of the team mode. This approach will allow the project manager to focus on the project as a whole and ensure that all tasks are being integrated
By not understanding what the controlling activities will include, the planning process is incomplete. In today’s environment, the relationship between project planning and project control are critical. When a project has an unforeseen event occur, it can be contributed to a planning failure. This is where control comes in to implement the corrective action. This unforeseen event is now a lesson learned and is considered in the planning of future projects. Therefore, project planning and effective project control is an iterative process as depicted below (PMBOK ,
It can be defined as the merging of various disciplines or organizations with different goals, needs and cultures into a cohesive and mutually supporting unit (Baiden, 2006). Individuals from various organizations are required to work together to achieve common project goals and achieve the triple constrains of time, cost and quality. It is vital that teams from different background to collaborate and fully utilise their knowledge-expertise and experience in knowledge sharing effectively throughout the project life cycle (Ibrahim et al., 2013). The greater collaboration amongst project team members minimize waste and mitigate disputes to deliver outstanding project outcomes. Walker and Lloyd-Walker (2014) emphasized the success of a project is built upon teams that consciously integrate in an atmosphere that is open and non-competitive. The integration environment drives the teams’ commitment to provide the best effort and solution for the best project
