As every child wants to be a best and every Parent wanted their child to become a topper. I always wanted to become an All Rounder from my childhood and my parents also played a major role in that. As from the starting of my childhood I have always been interested and a part of various activities. And that is why my Parents understood that I do not have interest in same type of activities but in every and different types of activities. So, then onwards my Parents have put me in and supported to learn new and different kind of activities. From the small classes in school itself I was different from others as everyone take part either in sports or in study related competitions or in cultural or other type of activity. I took part in mostly of the activities and programs such
Many of my teachers and friends always said a famous quote to me that ‘’Do not put your legs in two moving boats or else you will sink” but from childhood itself I have replied them all by saying that “I am not standing on a boat I am standing on a huge ship which carry many boats”. And then they have no words. They only see that I am not a focused person but what they do not see was how much I am struggling to be good and a part of mostly activities. My parents saw my struggle that’s why they always supported me than also when I failed in some activities but they do not stop supporting me.
From an early age, I have always been deeply interested in computing. Also, more than all other activities. Maybe because I was having computer from my childhood and I always try to invent and learn something new in that. When my 7th class summer vacation started, my Mother offered me to join computer classes which was started nearby my area few weeks ago by considering my interest. Immediately I said Yes. On my first day as I sat in the lab the sir and mam both asked me, do you know
My parents have always pushed me to be better than they were. They knew that if I wanted to be successful I needed to go to college. In highschool, they always made me put my education before anything else. My parents didn’t go to college so they would always tell me to not make that mistake because their lives could have been easier if they would of just invested a few more years into their education. They would also tell me about all the opportunities that missed out on because they decided not to further their education.
These days, there is too much pressure on children who participate in organized sports because of the unnecessary parental involvement they experience. A growing concern amongst those involved in youth sports is that certain aspects of parental involvement become detrimental to the development and experiences of young athletes. Early emphasis on winning, making money, and the disruption of education can exceedingly affect ones desire to further participate in a sport later on in his/her life.
Early childhood I was involved in playing two sports which were basketball and football until the time came that I had to choose one. My initial decision was basketball until I was influenced to switch sports by my closest friends just when I thought I was committed in playing basketball. My parents were not very keen on me playing sports, but had tons of support from my friends and siblings. The high school I attended which was Alief Taylor high school had a very strong recruiting system which was because of the coaches we had and talented athletes. Teachers and coaches played a huge role on my future while I was in high school and it was up to me determine how my future was going to be. I was not a varsity football player until my senior year and were many time when I felt like I was going to quit, but my friends and coaches recognized that I had talent and continued to
We started with basic concepts about Internet connection; we also talk about how all this new technology expands through the world. And I say ‘surprisingly’ because I’m one of those people who don’t really care about technology or computer system. Actually I feel lost when people talk about software and programs. After a couple weeks we started working on the computer lab, where I learn how to create a Web site. I was amazing of how computer system works. Every day, the professor came with more information and more work to do. This is how I start thinking in a possible change for my career. I never thought this course would change my mind about what I want to do in
I am an only child in the Thomasian family and all the expectations and standards are very high. As an only child, all my family members expect me to be a perfectionist, which adds a lot of weight on my shoulders. As a teenager, the only responsibility I have is going to school and getting good grades. This has led me to work hard and try to be the top achieving student in my class. This expectation drives me to compete even more and puts a lot of pressure on me. Every year I participate in the student council elections and all of the academic competitions and try to succeed. I am expected to earn the best possible grades and this has added to my competitive streak. From competing in the Geography Bee, the Science Fair , and the Armenian Timeline, I have tried to be victorious and over all my ultimate goal has been to become valedictorian of the class. Throughout all this, I also tried to find a balance in my life because it has become somewhat stressful and difficult to manage and balance what I need to learn to master
In my work interest assessment, which is an assessment that indicates what my top three work interests are, my strongest work interest was Social the Helpers. The social work interest means that people of this grouping prefer: to work with others, well spoken, able to express themselves, get along with others, and work well in groups. They prefer discussing problems in groups to be able to come up with more solutions to get other opinions on how they would tackle the situation. The people with social work interest usually define themselves as collaborative, easygoing, and understanding. They enjoy doing group work, schooling in some way or another, volunteering, and getting to know new people. My weakest work interest was Conventional: The
Did your childhood ways help you become who you are? I do, if I was stuck with what I wanted to learn when I was child, I would be stuck in my moms schedule. According to, "Helping Children Play Creatively," states "Organized activities,.... rely on rules, schedules, and usually adult control, which can hinder a child's freedom of expression." Which is so true becaue the child didn't get choose the event thier attending.
My Passion is my word. Words are used everyday, I am even using words now. You know a lot about word don’t you? What they mean? When to say them? What you did not know was, once you give someone your word you are bonded to it and going back on you word would break that bond, I never go back on my word, I never did, and I never will. the only reason is, I never want to become the most atrocious monster known as a.... liar, and becoming that monster is my biggest fear. You could say it's what drives my passion. But also the bond does not just apply to your word, it also applies to people, and when you break your word you also break the bond of trust you have with the person too. Honesty is the most important policy.
I ended up contacting 3 of my family members, and I told them to be brutality honest with me. I also told them whatever they said to me would not hurt my feelings. The four people I contacted where my brother, mom and dad. My dad said that my strengths where that I’m independent and I like to work on my own, that I was very determined to be successful, and that I am very driven to be the best at everything. She said my weaknesses where time management since I sometimes put off homework till last minute, that processes where hard for me to follow because I like to do things my way, he also said that I am very needy for approval after I have completed something. My mom said that I am a hard worker and feel the need to compete tasks fast, that I am a very loyal friend, and I am very determined to succeed in life. She said for my weaknesses that I can sometimes be selfish when it comes to work because I care about me succeeding more then others, she also said that me being a loyal friend is also a weakness because I care about them as much as I care about myself, and finally she said that I can sometimes get distracted easily. According to my brother my strengths are that I am very studious when it comes to school and work, also that I am very determined in life,

I believe values are different for each person because we all come from different families value structures, have different cultures and traditions. However, values can change over time as we grow up and as we face different experiences and responsibilities. There are different types of values that influence our lives in several ways and help us remember what is important to us, and direct us to what we want to be, and accomplish in life. In this essay, I will be talking about three different Instrumental values, three terminal values and my least liked values that have affected me psychologically, in my behavior, my beliefs and my leisure choices
When I was in middle school, I had totally no idea of what Computer Science is, but I was pretty proficient in using computers at that age. The only thing that I knew about Computer Science is that one of my aunts is in that field and that’s all, nor of my parents are in that major. Not until in High School that I got the sense of what programming is like. I was taught basic simple codings and I really enjoyed it and thought that the class was actually quite fun. But the class didn’t give me any sense of the important real-world applications of Computer Science. Not until recently as I am in the Computer Science major, I started to really have the real idea and to gain real passion for the field. Computer Science is not all about programming.
It started out with parents that were always interested in education, mine and their own, whenever I learned something new; they were always interested in it also. I was taught from the beginning much about the things around me, outdoors and in. I remember when I was in high school my mother would actually want to work with me on calculus, b...
When I was in the lower grades in elementary school, most of the people around me knew that my mom was a teacher. So my parents had always told me that I should behave well in school. I tried and tried to do it then I was often applauded for that action. But the more I got praised, the more I got concerned that I would disappoint the people. So I tried to be an obedient student and kept the rules in the school all the time. One of the greatest burdens is getting good grades. At that time I thought the score I got showed them what I was made of. So when I did well in school, I seemed confident but whenever I failed even a little bit, I felt that I was insignificant and became depressed. And unfortunately I couldn’t discover any talent in other areas such as music, art and physical activities except for studying. To a little girl, studying was the only method to prove my abilities and I had no choice but to do my best. For examp...
