Assessments
I have taken several assessment in these last couple of week. Five assessment I have found important and made me reflect how I live my life were;
1. Disposition Assessment
2. My Values Assessment
3. Philosophical Orientation Questionnaire
4. My Legacy
5. 27 Thing I Want to Do Before I Die
Important Findings
For each of the five assessment taken I have indicated important findings for each. I have realized that I need to reflect and analyze on various aspects of myself to become a better person and coworker.
Disposition Assessment
In the Disposition Assessment I realized I need to work on my commination skills. I feel that sometimes I can’t communicate clearly and effectively. I may not use the correct words and my comments may be taken negatively when I don’t mean it to be. I have observed that when

Questionnaire results are that I determine the worthiness of an activity in terms of its effects on specific other people. I find this true because everything I do has to have a positive affect on others. For me at work and at home intimacy and friendships are of primary importance. I believe if you don’t have a connection with the individual one how can you know if an activity or event is meaningful.
My Legacy After I analyzing my life and thinking about what my legacy should be, I realized that I have not thought about it before I had to analyze it. I live day by day and don’t know what my legacy should be. I realized that I need to focus on what I want to leave behind. I want to make an impact on the world and my family but I don’t know how to do that. I started to flush out the detail on how I am going to accomplish this, it will be a work in progress. For me this is important because I feel that I am living to work and not working to live.
27 Thing I Want to Do Before I
When I hear the word “legacy,” I often feel intimidated because I instinctively compare myself with those who have accomplished something significant. In fact, I get the impression that I am disadvantaged, or strictly speaking, useless, compared to those who are leaders. I feel that my fate prevents me from meeting new opportunities, which ultimately impedes me from making great accomplishments. However, after reading “Home of the Free” by Wendell Berry, I am forced to riffle through my life span and smile at the great accomplishments that I, as a “disadvantaged” kid, have taken pride in. Berry’s thesis can be summarized by a quote from the famous existentialist Friedrich Nietzsche, who wrote, “If you wish to strive for peace of soul and pleasure, then believe; if you wish to be a devotee of truth, then inquire.” Nietzsche establishes the notion that, in life, we should not avoid “the necessary work of human life” and only seek pleasure and peace. This notion, which is what comprises Berry’s concept of “satisfaction,” makes me ponder everything in life that can make existence prove worthwhile.
“Today you have the opportunity to transcend from a disempowered mindset of existence to an empowered reality of purpose-driving living. Today is a new day that has been handed to you for shaping. You have the tools, now get out there and create a masterpiece.”’-Steve Maraboli.
The assessment helped me to deeply think about my career and the things that I would want in the organization that I hope to work for. I believe it to be an accurate assessment and helps an individual put what is important to them into perspective. It is often helpful in career counseling to have an indication of where the client is in terms of career decision or indecision (Whiston. 2017). This tool

Self-assessment can help my life in many ways that will allow me to grow in my personal and professional life. I
This was due to the fact that this assessment is a Self-Interview test. Therefore, I could do this same assessment a day or a week from now, but the consistency of my personal answers will be the same or extremely similar every time. The Self- interview intended to measure personality by asking questions that allowed me to describe myself. The questions asked overall measured what the assessment intended to measure. Therefore, the construct validity in this assessment appeared to be highly accurate. This was evaluated by examining the questions in the assessments, such as, “How would you describe your leadership style?" and “What drives you in your personal life?” The degree to which this assessment can be applied to others of a different age, race, and/or gender is generalized highly as well. The structure of this assessment allows other people in other situations to describe themselves like I did. The personal findings of my specific Self- Interview assessment may be generalized to others to a certain extent. This would be due to my age, race, gender, and environmental factors. The norming sample of the people taking this assessment included Texas A&M International University male and female students, with the majority of them being
In this report, I will reflect on my professional development throughout this module, from when I started in September, to now. According to Beausaert et al. (2011), ‘the art of self-evaluation is an integral element of reflection and involves critical insight into understanding one 's strengths and limitations’. Therefore, my aim is to identify my learning needs and to recognise my personal skills and capabilities, as well as identifying areas of my skill set that need to be refreshed or extended to stand out in the competitive job market. By doing this, I hope to demonstrate knowledge of the skills that I have gained during this module.
As we reviewed the self awareness module this past week it was very interesting to see how the self assessments provided the class information about their own personal human behaviors. I was aware of most of the information provided but there were some tendencies I was surprised to find fitted my character. It was good to be reminded of the things I had forgotten about myself. Learning about my individuality and how I interact and respond to others based on my traits, personality and behavior has been an awakening experience. It is also great to know that I can work on areas that need improvement to become a more balance person to better assist my subordinates, teams and organizations.

Throughout our lives, we all find ourselves constantly asking and repeating a lot of the same questions, and all of us coming up with a manifold of different answers, each of which being dependent upon where we stand at said points in our lives. In my opinion though, the most important question we ever ask ourselves though is, “Where am I going?” Now, I don’t mean this in the literal sense of what is the destination you are trying to reach so much as I’m asking your endgame is. What will this decision lead to in my life as a whole? How would my life differ if I were to make this choice as opposed to doing something completely different? Our lives are our own to live and do with as we please, but on our journeys we will all grapple with vastly different challenges containing many of the same overall characteristics which should all converge upon asking yourself, “Where am I going?”, “What path will this decision lead me down?”, and “Will I be proud of the life and the version of myself that this produces?”
Personally, I define philosophy as a study of the fundamental nature of knowledge, reality, existence and the theory or attitude acting as a guiding principle for behaviour. Therefore, I disagree with this statement as philosophy is not just about a deep expression of our wonders and the search for understanding and knowledge. Philosophy broadens our imagination and allows individuals to actively engage and critically think about the wider world. Every individual has different thoughts, values, reasons, language and understanding of the philosophical world we live in. Hence, Philosophy is a comprehensive system of ideas about human nature and the nature of reality. Philosophy is also known as a collective group of ideas and principles of existence
