Peak performers are people who excel and push their selves and strive to become better than others in subjects and challenges. I would like to classify myself as a peak performer because I enjoy facing new challenges and trying to become better at my everyday life. Being a peak performer, one should always be a creative thinker, acquire new and improved skills, and always push to excel in life (Bethel University, 2013). I hope everyone tries to be a peak performer because having short and long term goals truly help with achieving success in school and in one's career choice. If a person does not try to learn and become better there can be no room for advancement. Peak performers are those who are not afraid to try new things and push forward …show more content…

I have always been one to learn with my hands and participate in learning activities. Learning about kinesthetic learning can help me improve and become a better learner. I know that by actively leaning with my hands will help me learn quicker and more effectively. I know that my career choice truly suits me and my kinesthetic learning behavior. My job is %100 hands on and there are always new challenges to be conquered and new goals to be reached. The Learning Style Inventory is a great questionnaire that I plan on letting my friends and family try. I will utilize the knowledge learned from that questionnaire to continue learning and becoming better at what I
As a matter of self-knowledge, I have taken the Clifton StrenghtsFinder assessment, my five top strengths were revealed. Rath explains that my results are unique to me. Even though others may share one or more of the strengths identified for me, they may be manifested in other ways. As an Achiever, the assessment explains that I am a self-motivated, hard worker who can spend hours studying, reading, and researching. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and skills through coaching, mentoring, or training. I set lofty goals for myself and relentlessly pursue them.
Upon receiving this project, I immediately began to worry about a survey that would seek to determine how strong of a leader I would be. I cowered at the fact of coming up with either false information or information I felt was less than perfect. I think that this fear alone, confirms my primary style. My primary style is that of Self-Actualization. Self-Actualized individuals seek to always become all that we can with the talents and knowledge we have. We tend to be creative and like to live in the moment. We bring almost a refreshing perspective to most situations and have a continuous intrinsic drive for self-development. I see this style manifested in myself on a daily basis by my strong desire to always meet new challenges. My motivation for success and coming up with new ideas is completely internal, and when the outlook seems grim to others, I am always the one that sees a positive outcome ahead, through the use of a plan. Although, I am currently a stay at home mom, I would imagine that as a manager that worked outside the home, I would share the same values as I do at home. I am a planner and a “lister”, because I feel that in order to tackle a task, the plan of attack must be clearly laid out and readily available to refer to. My backup thinking style is the Achievement style. I think this is very obvious because I seek to find jobs or take on challenges that will allow me to feel a sense of achievement. I have been known to quit jobs that paid a decent amount, but weren’t allowing me to achieve anything. On several jobs before, I’ve ended each day with a feeling of unimportance or frustration because I felt like the majority of my day had been spent working a job that wasn’t fulfilling or impacting the world. I think the fact that I decided to leave the corporate working world to be a stay at home mom, attests to the fact that I want to feel a sense of achievement in the personal raising of my child. I want to set up a standard for my child to ultimately be able to be a self-actualized person as he grows older.
The first assessment I completed was very eye opening for me as a leader. As expected, my score for the overall potential of my leadership was on the higher end of the scale because of my background and amount of experience I have in leadership positions. This assessment portrayed a very accurate depiction of my overall leadership potential because I have always placed emphasis on being very good at what I do while working hard to not follow a path that did not work the first time.
I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
These two assessments have taught me things I didn’t quite realize about myself as well
The general personality traits, which are related to success both in and outside the workplace, are all inherent in my answers given in the Leadership Assessment Quiz. With statements such as, “it is easy for me to compliment others” and “team members listen to me when I speak,” it is apparent I possess these characteristics. Whereas my task- related personality traits associated with successful leadership, such as courage, still need to be developed. Not only do I know this in myself, but it is clearly pointed out throughout the test, with statements such as, “resolving conflict is an activity I enjoy” and “I would enjoy coaching other members of the team”.
Self-analysis is a way the author reflects on her own personality traits and improve on the known weaknesses moving forward. It is very important because it enables her to succeed in college. In final analysis, my writing has greatly improved during this semester, and having looked at the area's I most need to work on has given me an awareness of what my weaknesses are. Examining what I have learned and what I need to learn allows me to generate a strategy to fortify my writing skills. Critiquing my own work has given me insight into how my writing is progressing in this class and allowed me to see short comings I had missed previously. Self-evaluation is a helpful tool for anyone who wants to continue to learn what areas they can improve upon and how much progress they are making. I believe those who appraise their own work will have a better understanding of their strengths and weaknesses then those who do not evaluate themselves.
The positive feedback provided me with things my respondents believe I should continue doing. Some respondents noted that I am confident and motivated. The results also showed that my respondents think I am efficient. Another response was that I adapt to change well. Other words like cheerful, encouraging and fun to be around were some of the positive responses received. Great communication is also something noted that I should continue to do. My responses showed that I am a hard worker. According to the respondents of the survey, I am a good listener and very supportive of others. These responses helped to boost my confidence because they helped me to know that there are things that I am good at and things that I should continue doing. It is also nice to known that people notice little things about you that are positive.

Next, you statistically determine which of these many traits your top performers and most impactful employees' exhibit that differentiates them from bottom performing and average employees.
After the self-assessment, now I feel confident about my qualities and how I need to deal with people with different personality having very differently thinking and how we can come to a common solution of any problem.
Self assessment is a process in which you examine yourself in attempt to discover and learn more about yourself. Your likes, dislikes, behaviors, attitudes and habits can be found during this process. You can use the discoveries to your advantage by accepting or changing strengths and weaknesses. I plan on using this course to enhance my personal skills to become a better student and find success in earning my Bachelor of Arts degree at Ashford University in Social Science. Self Assessment is the first step in my successful future.
The strengths that were brought to my attention through this self-assessment were critical thinking and reasoning, determination, responsibility, ability to get along with others, and seeking support from others. A few of these strengths represent my maturity level and my ability to work with others even if it includes reaching out for help (Bethel
Personal Development is a lifelong process that involves the assessment of current skills and talents and the enhancement of oneself based on that assessment which then leads to the realization of goals and an improved quality of life. To be able to assess yourself, you need to be able to reflect on your past which helps you to understand the attitudes you have developed and the foundation that you will be building your life on. Also, you have to reflect on your present to see if there’s room for improvement and reflect on your future so that you can achieve your aspirations.
