Summary of Written Feedback
The positive feedback provided me with things my respondents believe I should continue doing. Some respondents noted that I am confident and motivated. The results also showed that my respondents think I am efficient. Another response was that I adapt to change well. Other words like cheerful, encouraging and fun to be around were some of the positive responses received. Great communication is also something noted that I should continue to do. My responses showed that I am a hard worker. According to the respondents of the survey, I am a good listener and very supportive of others. These responses helped to boost my confidence because they helped me to know that there are things that I am good at and things that I should continue doing. It is also nice to known that people notice little things about you that are positive.
The negative feedback provided me with things my respondents believe I should work on. Some of the negative feedback contradicted the positive feedback such as “have more confidence in herself.” Also, one response was that I ...
Feedback inhibition is a reaction product is used to regulate its own further production. Cells have evolved to use feedback inhibition to regulate enzyme activity in metabolism, by using the products of the enzymatic reactions to inhibit further enzyme activity. Metabolic reactions, such as anabolic and catabolic processes, must proceed according to the demands of the cell. In order to maintain chemical equilibrium and meet the needs of the cell, some metabolic products inhibit the enzymes in the chemical pathway while some reactants activate them.
When someone asks “do you mind if I offer you some feedback?”, you immediately think that you did something terribly wrong. You don’t know whether to feel proud or to feel ashamed, or even feel like you’ve been attacked and need to defend yourself as much as possible. Difficulty with accepting criticism is nothing new; in fact, it is more common than you think. We are often criticized after completing anything from simple tasks to the most complex projects we can accomplish. Common examples of what we are criticized for are: work ethic, creative works such as music, television, articles, etc., and for any mistake, small or large, we make during our day-to-day lives. Anybody can give constructive
One prime example of a dangerous positive feedback loop is melting artic ice. Before global warming the sun would hit the ice and most of the heat would be bounced back into space rather than being artic ice is starting to melt. When this happens more land is uncovered and the ice becomes water. Both land and water absorb the suns energy which amplifies the issue of global warming. Another great example of a positive feedback loop is our ocean’s warming. With our ocean waters warming it releases methane (fish create it in their guts and plants produce it) which is a greenhouse gas. With this excess methane in the atmosphere it is causing earth to warm. Both of these feedback loops are a vicious nature cycle that is very hard if not near impossible to reverse.
I have realized that to be an effective contributor to an organization, there are a numerous breadth of qualities to be desired. In obtaining the results from the personality tests, I have a better perception of my strengths and weaknesses within my personality. This will allow me to have a new perspective on how and why I behave in particular situations. Therefore, I know what my weaknesses are and work to be stronger in those particular areas.
...ts gave to me about my survey and I agree with them. The comments were very helpful because it showed me what the students found confusing and if I was to redo the survey, I would apply the comments and changes that the students made into my new survey so that other students do not get confused with the question.
According to Coker (2015), “feedback is considered essential for motor skill acquisition as it assists in guiding the learner in modifying subsequent movement attempts” (p. 31). I believe this is partially in line with Knowledge of Performance (KP) because KP is about the nature of the movement pattern itself and it does not necessarily tell about success in terms of goal achievement (Schmidt & Lee, 2014).
What are the key issues? Why is he/she reacting this way? Sometimes, the person giving the feedback may not be aware of the real areas of concern. Ultimately, I see negative feedback as positive, because it shows there are people who want what you have. Negative feedback also tells us our opportunities for growth. No matter where we are in life, all of us will have blind spots we don’t know about. These blind spots prevent us from reaching the next stage of growth. While negative feedback may not be pleasant to receive, they give us a different perspective to consider. By learning from more different perspectives, we can grow much faster. If I look back, negative criticism has made me a stronger and better person. Despite the potential value of constructive criticism, many people don’t use this tool properly.” Sybil Keane, PhD, a psychology and relationship expert for the Web site Just Answer. Often, that’s because they are unsure of how to give constructive criticism without hurting a person feelings.” You should always listen respectfully when a person is trying to tell you something negative, it is easy to get upset and focus only on the critical aspects of the
From my feedback it is recognised I have no areas that I need to improve on however I feel my communication will continue to improve and I feel I lack communication skills with young children and will be aware of this if I have a pediatric
(Chap 10) Soliciting feedback is needed to not only improve oneself but also performance and relationship between family, friend, co-workers, etc. I remember when I was little, I would always eat and would be bigger than the other kids in my grade. I hated when people or my family would tell me to lose weight because it hurts my self-esteem. However, if it weren’t for those feedbacks about my health, I think I would not be aware of how I would have many heart problems or diseases in the future. I’ve became more aware of how I am and started to pay attention more to what I eat and how I exercise. By being more aware of health, actions, etc. people are able to be more positive and learn to value opinions and take action. Self-assessment is when using self-inquiry and reflection in order to gain insights into oneself. Especially when reflecting on certain actions and feelings within the team. When I need calm down or reduce my stress levels, I would meditate or paint to relieve myself. Exercising also helped me to increase my endorphins, especially when there’s so many assignments or in need of a break. People adapt more to reflecting themselves would become more satisfied about
Through the self-assessment instruments utilized in this program, I have gained wealth of knowledge about my strengths, and weaknesses and how they affect my personal and professional life. By using different exercises, I recognized new strengths and weaknesses. At the same time, I identified ways to develop my strengths and overcome my weaknesses. The Kolb Learning Style Inventory (LSI) identified some of my strengths as the ability to get things done, initiating, and taking risks (Kolb, 2007). In the Strongest Self Feedback Exercise, some of the feedback listed my strengths as having excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being self-confident, a fast learner, determined, hardworking, and an awesome listener (Drucker, 2005).
Basically, I think I'm a positive and life-affirming person. In my mind, everybody can reach nearly every goal, in case he/she really believes in it.
In this chapter, I learned new ways to give and to accept feedback. Personally, I like getting feedback. I like it because it allows me to improve on my work. For example, whenever I write essays I like to have another person look at it so they can catch any small, or even big, mistakes that I may have done. This chapter also taught me that too much negative feedback can really take a toll on a person negatively. When you give somebody too much negative feedback, that person can start to think that they’re doing everything completely wrong and can really be detrimental to their self-esteem. To give good feedback, you should give the person more positive feedback than negative. You should use constructive rather than destructive feedback. Constructive feedback is more information specific and issue specific based on observations without using judgement. Destructive feedback is full of judgement and isn’t helping the person learn. When you get the feedback, it is best to reframe it and then reconstruct it to your advantage. Getting feedback is always a good tool to get but not when it only contains
In this paper, I will be primarily focusing on the importance of feedback in learning. Practise is important to achieve goals but it cannot act alone, in order for a student to accomplish his/her goals he/she needs to practise; while practising it is important to receive feedback. By the end of this paper, I will try to prove why “Feedback is so important in learning”?
After the self-assessment, now I feel confident about my qualities and how I need to deal with people with different personality having very differently thinking and how we can come to a common solution of any problem.
In conclusion, my assessment re-assure the characteristics I knew I already had. However, it was an opportunity to foretell what I need to brush up on. Even though I do not wish to be an entrepreneur, entrepreneur’s carry a tremendous amount of characteristics that bring success. Mastering these skills will definitely be a benefit in an exceedingly amount of challenges/opportunities I will face in my career
