The purpose of the Self- Interview assessment is to measure an individual’s personality by having the individual answer questions about themselves through the S-data approach and in a qualitative methodological way. The reliability, validity, and generalizability of the assessment are analyzed individually to see how effective they are. The assessment provides results of one’s personality and a personal reflection on their goals, strengths, weaknesses, and life overall. The findings on the assessment itself concluded a high degree of reliability, validity, and generalizability. This was due to the fact that this assessment is a Self-Interview test. Therefore, I could do this same assessment a day or a week from now, but the consistency of my personal answers will be the same or extremely similar every time. The Self- interview intended to measure personality by asking questions that allowed me to describe myself. The questions asked overall measured what the assessment intended to measure. Therefore, the construct validity in this assessment appeared to be highly accurate. This was evaluated by examining the questions in the assessments, such as, “How would you describe your leadership style?" and “What drives you in your personal life?” The degree to which this assessment can be applied to others of a different age, race, and/or gender is generalized highly as well. The structure of this assessment allows other people in other situations to describe themselves like I did. The personal findings of my specific Self- Interview assessment may be generalized to others to a certain extent. This would be due to my age, race, gender, and environmental factors. By answering questions such as, “Where do you see yourself five year from now?” and “How would you described yourself?” I have concluded a good sense of reassurance in my desired profession and my self-esteem. Also, by answering questions like, “When have you been most satisfied in your life?” and “What types of hobbies do you enjoy?” I have concluded a sense of relief emotionally. This was due to the recognition of the unconditional love I know my family will have for me, regardless of my failures or successes. As well as, the reminder of those hobbies that help me stay socialized, healthy, and avoiding high stress. Finally, by answering questions like, “Who is your role model, and why?” and “What drives you in your professional life?” I have received a breath of fresh air filled with motivation that sometimes seems to want to stay

Motivational interviewing is a guiding system that aide’s individuals to resolve conflicted affections and insecurities with finding interior inspiration to change their conduct. It is empathetic, practical, furthermore short-term procedure that takes under thought how troublesome it is to make lifestyle changes. Motivational interviewing was invented by clinical psychologist William Miller and Stephen Rollnick. This method was created to help people escape addiction (Miller and Rollnick, 1991).
Self-assessment tests have been around for as long as I can remember. The first self-assessment test I took was when I joined the Navy. I remember thinking what in the world does any of this have to do with joining the military. I soon discovered that it tested more than mental aptitude. It really showed mental, physical, and social traits that one possessed when put in situations that they had no control over. The tests are designed to gauge where one will be when stuck in a situation that they cannot get out of like out to sea on a boat or submarine for six months at a time. These tests, no matter which one you take, are as individual as the person taking them.
The general personality traits, which are related to success both in and outside the workplace, are all inherent in my answers given in the Leadership Assessment Quiz. With statements such as, “it is easy for me to compliment others” and “team members listen to me when I speak,” it is apparent I possess these characteristics. Whereas my task- related personality traits associated with successful leadership, such as courage, still need to be developed. Not only do I know this in myself, but it is clearly pointed out throughout the test, with statements such as, “resolving conflict is an activity I enjoy” and “I would enjoy coaching other members of the team”.
In the field of psychology, personality refers to the unique characteristics and behavior patterns that distinguish one individual from another. Personality can be a complex spectrum to evaluate. Personality of is not always stable and may change over time for different reasons such as shocking events, education, and environment to name a few. The study and assessment of personality has been used to describe and discover from severe mental disorders to assist self-awareness. Personality inventories are a method to assess personality traits. These evaluation methods arose from the need to understand and treat the effects of war on soldiers’ personality. Personality inventories have evolved over time and today are used in several fields: education, research, clinical, counseling, and industrial / organizational. This paper aims to explore and offer details of one of these personality inventories: The Sixteen Personality Factors Questionnaire (16PF).
I believe our personalities make up who we are and how others perceive us at times. Personalities are our own unique qualities, that we possess as individuals. In writing this short paper, I have found that psychologists use assessments to define an individual’s personality to determine their qualities and what makes them different from other individuals. Through the Big Five Personality test, I found it difficult to define and understand an individual personality
Through the completion of the Leadership Apptitude Quiz (Appendix A), my direct reports, immediate supervisor and my own self assessment confirmed that I have high leadership potential. Leadership ability has been defined by a series of traits and characteristics. Trait theory focuses on identifying innate qualities and characteristics of leaders (Barr & Dowding, 2013). The personal traits and characteristics of my leadership style are articulated through completing the Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (Appendix B), which indicates that I have strong authentic leadership in the areas of objective decision making, self awareness, self regulation and authenticity.
When we were first given this assignment I had not put much consideration into it. I thought we were to ask a couple of questions, it would all work itself out and I would be done. But this was not the case. The thought and reflection put into interview questions really surprised me. There was far more factors other than the questions you were asking, because you were also dealing with people, people who are giving you there free time, their attention and opening themselves up to you a stranger, so there were far more responsibilities then what were initially at hand.
Life story interview/ project was design for you to get to know a random stranger or a close friends. You would asked general questions about the person life, school, work and family, therefore many will open up to you but a lot of people would not. Before you did the interview you had taken a NIH certification make sure you understand how to do the interview. You had recorded it, transmitted it, coded it and then present it to the class. Once everything was done you learned something new about this person or you may look at their cultural a different way.

I began to get fascinated by our capitalist world’s economy at a very early age of my life. Growing up, I was incredibly curious to unravel how systems function, and this curiosity developed into a burning desire to learn how processes and organizations operate and run our world. As I started my first job, I realized how much I needed to be better acquainted with the science of money making and the scientific approaches to money management. Later on in my life, being within a company system, I wanted to see the big picture by learning where such a company stands in the midst of all other business interactions locally and internationally. Being involved in the company’s practices I started analyzing the methods used by my managers, the causes and consequences of their managerial choices.
Well I guess I’ll start off this paper by being outright honest. I have never done this type of self-assessment exercise. So I’ll start this paper off with what exactly this type of self-assessment is. These types of self-assessments are meant to help show the individual (me) where my strengths lie and also where my weaknesses are as well so that I may try and lean on my strengths while improving on my own shortcomings. Essentially the Johari Window four regions model that we learned about is a great tool for this assessment. The first region is also known as the open area, which essentially means that this is what is known by the person about him/herself and is also know by others. The second region is known as the blind area in which this is information unknown by the individual but is known by others. Which could be behaviors that an individual does but does not realize that they are doing them. The third window is known as the hidden area. This area is essentially information that only you know about yourself and others do not. The fourth area is known as the unknown area. It’s known as that because this is information that you and others do not know about you. It’s when you take a look at these four areas and see your strengths and/or weaknesses are at and if you allow yourself to become open to feedback you then can improve on your own shortcomings and become a better leader.
The concept of personality has numerous definitions (Fatahi, Moradi, & Kashani-Vahid, 2016). Schultz and Schultz (2009), define personality in its broad sense as the manner of an individual’s behaviour in different situations. This essay explores the nature of personality, with the intention of highlighting its flexibility. The results of numerous empirical research studies are examined in order to investigate if, and how personality changes over time. It will be argued that an individual’s personality has the ability to change throughout their life.
Hi, my name is Rob Geis and I am currently in grade 12. I have been at County High School for a year now; I joined at the start of 11th grade, and have thoroughly enjoyed myself here. The school is great, the people are fantastic and the atmosphere is one that makes you actually want to go to school.
