It was Nelson Mandela who reiterated those basic words to any individual who aspires to be motivated, determined and educated. A personal and professional development plan is a working document that enables you to record your achievements and developments during your time at University (Anon, 2015). Therefore, my personal and professional development plan will include the following goals: Efficient Time Management: Time is a crucial factor in my daily life. Each day that I am alive it is another opportunity to gain knowledge and understanding in the Masters of Public Health programme. A masters degree in public health will furnish me with management and leadership skills and becoming a professional and effectual leader in the public health field. The opportunity to graduate with masters in public health would be a privilege to acquire for self -development and working with innovative ways to make changes. The main leadership characteristics that I aspire to are: supportive, participative, motivator and decision maker. Many individuals have always perceived me as a leader. Thus, I am always selected as a leader who listens actively, willing to assist in a grave situation, encourage and get involve as a team player for the end result.
