“May the odds be in your favor ”-Effie. May this quote relate to you if you decide to sponsor me. I would be a wonderful person to sponsor in the games. I believe the games will be a new and exciting experience to go through if you have the skills for it, unlike the other twenty-three competitors I have the skill and determination to win the games! Although I may not be strong, you should sponsor me because I am skilled at archery, good with animals, and good with nature and plants. The first reason why you should sponsor me in the games is because I am good at archery. I went to a camp that taught various things such as archery. I went to this camp during the summer, I learned pretty fast and almost always hit the target. …show more content…
During summer I had gone hiking with friends, we had gone to a few creeks too. The friends that I had gone with told me a lot about all of the different species of creatures, plants, and trees. Throughout the Summer I got taught a lot by exploring different creeks and trails. I would do this the other half of my summer after camp Campbell Gard. This could help by if there are different plants that are edible and some that are not, I would know. For example, in the Hunger Games on page 166 “I don’t recognize these berries, perhaps they are edible, but I'm guessing this is some evil trick on the part of the game makers.” When Katniss knew what was edible and what was not to show that this. There is more than one definition of strong, for example, you can show your strong by facing others and showing your out there. Being strong is definitely not the most important thing in the arena. Sure, it can help you with throwing things or climbing. If you climb, you are hiding and afraid to show that you are there to the other tributes. I would not be afraid to show that I am there in the arena. In summary, you should definitely sponsor me in the hunger games. You should definitely sponsor me because I am good with archery, I work well with animals, and I know a lot about nature and have experienced nature before. I hope that this shows why you should sponsor me because the odds will definitely
Beowulf used his strength for respect and recognition. As he became older his great strength was beginning to become weak. The weakness of his strength and the lost battle against Grendel’s mother was overwhelming to Beowulf; however he realized that his time was over and he would be remembered as a great hero in all battles he won.
During John F. Kennedy’s political campaign, there were many issues present that the candidate had to address: there was tension due to the communist threat, tension among American citizens due to the Civil Rights movement, and a recent recession that was very sluggish in recovering. Relating to these issues President Kennedy’s slogan was “getting America moving again”; these topics are addressed in a fast and effective manner in his minute-long television ad that was endorsed by the group: Citizens for Kennedy-Johnson. This ad was the best way to reinforce President Kennedy’s stance on the emergence of a new frontier. He was able to depict himself as a man of change and new beginnings due to his fresh perspective and young age which was a
I would be a good addition to the team because I have previous cheer and gymnastics experience. I am currently a member of the Savannah Sharks cheer team. I have been a Shark for six months. In addition to that, I did gymnastics for about three years when I was younger. I can learn routines quickly and I work my hardest to perfect them.
After completing the Clifton strength finders test, I learned my dominant strengths and it gave me a sense on what areas I am strong in. It allows you to work in the areas that you are good in and not in the ones you might not be as strong in. My top five strengths were learner, connectedness, belief, positivity, and includer. A lot of these I figured I would have because I am an athlete and I love to be positive. That is good because I practice these strengths every day which in turn will make me better at them and will allow me to use them in my career.

Archery is for anybody. Tall, short, you name it. It is a sport that is included in the after-school program at GCMS. The sport contains 2 simple things: Bow and Arrow. Getting involved in this program is very simple. All there is to do is show up and pay $5 dollars each meet. Rules, there are a lot of them. Some include being behind the shooting range when other flights are up, a certain amount of whistle blows means copious things, hands up to face up, etc... There are competitions to win prizes near the end of the year that all can look forward to and there are events like the archery tournament that a select few can go and get into it As Michael D. states "You have to focus to make the archery team".
You should sponsor me because I’m more advanced in sneaking than the other tributes can. An example of that is when I was 11, my friends and I would play football and when I was on defense I would always grab the ball and pick it off because I would lay low until he threw the ball and I would use my speed and use my vertical to my advantage to pick the ball. That example shows that I’m as sneaky as a lion because I can sneak around and pick footballs because I lay low until they throw the football. That matters because if I was walking in the towering grass and there was a person looking for food or people I could sneak up on them and kill them with them not even knowing I’m

I will fundraise the money to help cover the cost of the arena and horses. I will find workers and some volunteers to work at the arena. This project will take about a year and a half to get started. My goal of this proposal is to help kids with special need to enjoy, relax. Have an opportunity to “have” a horse, have fun. There are many reasons why I would like to go on this Gonzaga Outreach program. The main reason is because I would like to get more connected with the Gonzaga community since this is my first year and I still have many more people to meet. Yet I want to go on this trip because I want give back to the people that don’t have much but learn how I can become more open to things and live a more simply life.
My other main focus is a program similar to ‘boy-scouts’ called Pathfinders. In Pathfinders we meet once a week for two hours to help teach children and teenagers life skills. For example one
Sport event volunteer motivation is important to understand in recruitment, retaining and rewarding. Previous studies in that have examined this area have suggested that motives for sport event volunteers can be labelled (with examples) as
It is no secret that social capital plays an important role in sport and recreation management in a positive attribute that can help communities to respond to challenges. This lack of participation will no doubt impact sports and recreation managers as social capital will not be made possible in rural settings with the shortage of participation. Part of the problem is being blamed on the absence of young school leavers leaving communities for various reasons like study or employment purposes, which has a serious impact on the viability of sporting clubs within communities. This results in smaller or low numbers of participants in the sport in the younger age bracket. Too, lack of spare time can also be blamed for lower participation numbers. Mr. Dollman said that "One of the knock-on effects is that you start to see older people filling in for the B-grade on the Saturday, older people who don't train and are filling in in vigorous sports are at high risk of injury," (Coote, 2014). Thus, needing to improve and target the volunteering area for the reason being because it is considered as the lifeblood of rural communities, volunteers are the glue that hold these communities together. The impact of drought is also another challenge that will be faced with dire drought conditions causing the sport to suffer even lower
Volunteers are the backbone of organizing a strong and successful Olympic Games. They are the reason each Olympic Games runs smoothly and are always enjoyable to watch. What these volunteers might not obtain with money, they do obtain in a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We are able to look at past successful Olympic Games volunteer programs such as Sydney and London and construct our own for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
