You can do everything right with your marketing, but if you aren’t reaching the right audience, you won’t see the results you want. In this article, we’ll look at how to reach your target audience on Snapchat. This is the last article in a four-part series on how to target your audience on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.
Snapchat has more than 300 million monthly active users with 41 percent of those users being between the ages of 18 and 34. Find someone who has a lot of followers on different social media channels. This person should not be your competition, but should be in the same industry. So, if you sell handbags, you might team up with someone who sells women’s shoes. You’ll each tell your audience about the other. This can be done on social media and via email. The goal is to gain followers for both of you, because you each have audience members who would likely be interested in the other person’s products.
Reaching Young People
If your goal is to reach a younger audience, then Snapchat is an excellent choice. While there are some challenges with a marketing platform that doesn’t keep your posts around but a few seconds, there are also some advantages. You have to figure out how to make those few seconds count. That can equate to creative and engaging snaps that will grab your followers and make them notice your brand.
Marketing on Snapchat is different than marketing on Facebook or Twitter. It probably has the most in common with Instagram as far as formatting, but even then it is different because of the fleeting posts of Snapchat. If you want to truly engage your target audience on Snapchat, you’re going to have to get creative and figure out how to create posts and campaigns that those users will want to see.
