Don’t take our word for it - see why 10 million students trust us with their essay needs.
There is over 158 million kids using snapchat. The main reason i want it is so i can quickly send funny moments of our life to my friends. I also want to receive funny moments from my friends. Even the most strict parents ethan's mom uriel’s mom allow them to have snapchat because they trust their kids not to do bad things. In this essay i will be talking about why i should be able to have snapchat.
First snapchat lets you quickly talk to friends. For people that dont have phone plans like peter you can still get contact of him. When we were figuring out if peter can go to spring break with us was a hassle because he does not have a phone and we have to call is mom. If we are trying to get ahold of people for lets say a birthday i don't have to get their phone number i can just call them on snapchat. Both people have to add each other to be

able to talk or send anything and if i don't know them i won’t add them so pedos stay out. That's not the only cool thing you can also send the same picture to multiple people without hassle. Second snapchat is so unbelievably easy and fun.
You can't deny you have not had fun with it because you have died laughting. You have spent a lot of time going threw snapchat and you have had a blast. I can have fun and be safe. It's so much fun but you can be smart about it
Last with snapchat you can send something funny but not appropertet to 30 people but you don't have to show your grandma. If i took a video and you say a bad word i can send it to Ethan,Gael,Peter and Aaryn but not grandma,Unlike facebook where you put one thing on their and everyone can see it with snapchat you chose. If you want to tag someone it wont show that video to their friends. There is a thing call your story where you can post one thing and everyone can see it once.
When parents like you hear snapchat you be like is that the site people send nudes on and they disappear.Or that kid need face to face interaction. But you can get nudes sent to you on any platform. But they last forever.even if someone does send nudes they will only be their for 10 sec or less you can put a timer them POOF it's gone. Then you would say they are never gone but they
are. This is why i think i should be able to have snapchat. First i talked about how easy it is to get ahold of people. Second how easy and fun it is. Last i talked about how you can send pictures to whom you choose. Help you son get a girlfriend and let him get snapchat.
People always want to feel like they belong. They want to feel approved or appreciated by everyone that follows them. Our constant need to maintain our social image is what is making us lose our individuality. Typically, there are people that follow us that do not know us personally, so whatever they see on social media is how they perceive our identity. We post about good things happening in our lives. People usually do not post about a negative event in their life because that is not the way they want to be perceived. Harris talks about the newest addition to Snapchat and Facebook where people can get tagged in a photo. It is up to that person whether or not they want to display that tagged photo on their own page. This is a form of social approval. If the person does not like the photo of them, they will most likely not show that photo to all of their followers. Everyone responds to social approval, and it is important to realize how technology is influencing
Turkle discovered, “You can put your attention wherever you want to be,” is something college students believe in.(Turkle) Being able to observe this as a mother gives a sense of sadness. Instead of young adults enjoying their time together and hanging out, they can be seen engrossed with their phones while being together in the same room. A new sense of togetherness has also emerged, where people do not need to be near their friends to be hanging out. College students can live vicariously through their friends’ Snapchat stories and texting is the best way to communicate with each
The appreciation that they receive form others has made them more confident. In the article “Why Your Kids Love Snapchat, and Why You Should Let Them” by Rachel Simmons, it states that there is very little audience participation. In particular, there is no “like” or “heart’’ button which means that there is no way for others judge and measure our value. There was also a study that was conducted about how Snapchat may have a correlation with self-esteem. This experiment was conducted by a biological social linguistic psychologist Fem I. Nine at the University of Pennsylvania. Nine found that there were strong connections between the application Snapchat and teens self-esteem. They had over three hundred participants from middle schools, high schools, and colleges. One particular participate went into a deeper response and said, “I really feel like each one is a piece of art…that lasts for 6 seconds.” This statement implies that teens feel good about themselves when they post on Snapchat because they have taken the time to perfect the picture that they are going to
For example, they may not be comfortable with their parents or grandparents seeing photos of them out partying, but on Snapchat, a ten second video of them at a club, wont do them any harm. Snapchat allows users to post things that may not be socially acceptable on other social media websites.

Cell phones are common objects found in the pockets and bags of almost everyone one in the world. Recently, cell phones have been getting teens and adults into trouble. Most individuals send and receive text messages. The newest trend among some individuals is “sex-texting” or “sexting.” Sexting is a dangerous yet contagious phenomenon contaminating the lives of teens and adults all over the country, if not the world. This phenomenon can have serious consequences. Even after surveying 1300 teenagers, one in five say they’ve sexted, although they know that it could be a crime (Feyerick and Steffen). Sexting is a growing epidemic and the only way to prohibit its growth is to develop close relationships with the kids of today’s society.
Snapchat can be used on smartphones and iPads, as it requires a device with a built-in camera. Snapchat is one of the most popular social media platforms for self-representation, as people use it more than other applications each day. Users have made this application a part of their daily lives, as they use it to record most of their activities, compared to Instagram or Facebook. This application is linked to other social media platforms in a way that users have the option of accessing the latest news and stories, through the discovery page on the application.
From the perspective of adolescents and teenagers growing up in such a hyper-connected world, having a smartphone just seems like a necessity, something that all parents feel obliged to giving to their child at a young age, should they have to contact them in case of emergency. But when can an item such as a smartphone turn into a device that sucks away confidence, self pride and the overall well-being of a child? A device that is making a child fear when it should be used in order to help them feel safe. This is what can happen when you introduce social media to children who do understand how to fully use it safely; who don’t understand the implications and consequences that come with silly mistakes made through social media but also don’t
You and your friend are at a restaurant and your friend makes a mess with her drink. Your immediate reaction is to take a picture or video and put it on your story or send it to your friends on snapchat. Or maybe actually help them clean up the mess. Snapchat is a social media app that lets the users send pictures and videos to other users for 0-10 seconds and then the image disappears. It also has a feature called your “story” where all the other users that you are friends with can view the picture an unlimited amount of time for 24 hours and then the image/video disappears. Not only is it used as communication, but also to capture moments, share news, and even now, to sell property. From a small little app, snapchat has grown to become something
I like how no one wants to disagree even though there's a large counter argument for the people who don't let that little piece of plastic in their pocket take over their life. I have Facebook, I have Vine, I have Snapchat, I have a texting plan. What did I do yesterday? I texted my friend from Berkeley who's been a friend of mine mostly online for the last couple months. What did he do? He came and met me where I live further down the coast as a weekend trip. When did we use our phones while with each other? To play music and get directions to a nearby house he was staying at so we could go there and hang out with each other, face to face. Oh, and we had plenty of conversations. I then talked face to face with a girl that he had brought down

As shown below, in the corner of the graph, the red stands for “Answer A”, and the green stands for “Answer B”. Fifteen people answered these five questions unanimously, and out of the five questions, four well support Snapchat. Fourteen of the fifteen teenagers said they had this app on their phone, and out of those fourteen people, ten of them use it one hour or less. Everybody loves privacy, and that is what Snapchat does best. The rise in Snapchat's users is partially because of this, and unless things change Snapchat will continue to
Now a days all use media every day, There’s never a day where we stop using media. Us teenagers, always use it, no matter what we’re always on our phone or some other device, like computers, tablets, TVs that are smart, etc. Technology is all over this world.
