Skinhead Violence
When you here the term Skinhead you probably think about young rebels wearing big black boots and Nazi symbols. These happen to be a few trademarks but across the world "Skinhead" refers to a diverse cult of young people. The origin of this cult goes back to the 60's in England, where menacing-looking, shaven-headed and tattooed youths in combat boots began to be seen in the streets. This cult has matured into a large collection of smaller gangs across
33 countries. The ages of members range from 13 to 25 in which half the members are hard-core activists and the rest supporters. This cult is tied into political and other violent and nonviolent groups, suck as the White Aryan
Resistance, KKK, populist Party, British National Party, and several others.
They get support from so called punks and football (soccer) hooligans known as
"hools" to create riots and violence. From the creation of this cult until today it has supported violence, starting with beatings with boots and small weapons, evolving today into a terrorist like cult armed with deadly military weapons. Just like gangs in the U.S. skinheads also fight among each other. These fights are actually where most deaths by skinheads occur. And just like gangs skinheads have several different beliefs and methods of expression. These types of skinheads range from racist and violent to groups which are political but against racism and violence. The members come from a diverse range of

Recently in the news paper in the York area an old distance friend of mine Travis Laughman is accused of beating his girlfriends baby Kellen Koller 2. Kellen Koller died at Hershey Medical Center. My first reaction was “I can’t believe this.” “It can’t be him!” I couldn’t come to terms to hear that an old friend of mine was a murder. Many young parents have a hard time with a crying baby. Not be able to get them to stop so frustration sets in. There are many cases where young parents are so overwhelmed and are exhausted and they just click and start to take there anger out of there babies.
My topic is gang violence in Los Angeles and it has so much history behind of why, when, and where it started. Los Angeles had it’s first appearance in the news in 1973 when a of only 17 was shot dead by a school security guard for verbal fighting the security guard often. Gang violences historical development can vary depending on the ethnicity of the gang. Most of the Los Angeles gangs are at Echo Park that has 5 known gangs called EXP (Echo Park Locos), CRS (The Crazys), Frogtown, Big Top Locos, The Head Hunters. These gangs have similar crime records like robberies and shootings. The biggest crime records that are known are done by EXP which are the most park known gang in that particular area. A long-standing issue in America is racism with Caucasians historically being the dominant race. Although racism is not as severe of an issue as it was in the past, even today there is still a population of people, known as White Supremacists, that believe Christian Caucasians are supreme over all other collective groups. There are many White Supremacist groups, which have nuances among them. For example, some are politically focused trying to only have certain officials elected, while others are religiously focused trying to further their religious ideals. Some are even radical as well going so far as to harass and even murder those who are not like them. One of the groups focusing specifically on religion is the Aryan Nations. Aryan Nations, a religiously driven, American white supremacist group, perverts biblical text to rationalize their beliefs for themselves and recruitment of more members. Members of the Aryan Nations believe in racism, segregation, and have acted on their beliefs.

Thoughout history acts of violence have been committed against humanity, based on evidence read in this course, the most targetted has been women and even more women of African descent. An act of violence, it’s consider both, to prevent someone other than one self from meeting the basic needs and spectrums represented as a form of crime, in which the actions victimizes somebody; physically, emotinally and mentally. The rise of violence intensified when colonizers conquered a New World, the lack of acceptance of different people, allowed White supremacy mentality to become a tool of subordination that worked in cycles and affected, first indiginous people and then African slaves.

I want to clarify that prejudice does lead to violence. Prejudice means the way someone acts towards someone else because of who they are either their race , religion , or even how they act. I want to convey people about how the world could be better than what it is today.

All 20 countries, plus Turkey, are members in another regional forum which is the Turkish-Arab Cooperation Forum. The Gulf Cooperation Council, the Maghreb Union, and the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership organisations all consist of a limited number of countries from the MENA region. Violence. Just mentioning the word conjures up many images of assault, abuse, and even murder. Violence is a broad subject with many categories. Some types of violence are terrorist violence and domestic violence. Violence can arise from many different sources; these sources whether biological, cultural, and social all can evoke violent behavior. All cultures experience some sort of violence, and this paper considers violence as a cultural phenomenon across a range of various settings. Violence plays a part in both Islamic and Indian cultures according to the articles “Understanding Islam” and “Rising Dowry Deaths” by Kenneth Jost and Amanda Hitchcock, respectively. From an anthropological perspective, violence emphasizes concerns of meaning, representation and symbolism.
