Sing, a Sting to New Animation Sing is about a city of humanoid animals, and a hustling theater producer. Koala Buster Moon is attempting to save his theater with a singing competition. The competition becomes grander than he prepared for and Buster is willing to anything to preserve his theater. After having an audition, Buster chooses five contestants. Those contestants are Mike, a mouse who sings smoothly as he cons, Ella, a timid teenage elephant who has an enormous case of stage fright, Rosita, an overworked, mother pig who takes care of a litter of 25, Johnny, a gangster gorilla who would rather sing than be part of his families felonies, and Ash, a teenage, punk-rock loving porcupine that wants a solo career. All of these animals take …show more content…
Americans are known for having a rich theatrical history and the entire movie is about Buster trying to preserve that history and not letting his theater get destroyed. Also, most of the movie is about a singing competition. Sing is like an American- Idol style singing competition, but with talking animals. Singing competitions are a big part of American culture. When Buster decides to hold a singing competition, his friend Eddie sarcastically says,“Singing Competition? Who wants to see one of those? Buster, that’s a terrible idea.”(Sing). That is a very obvious sarcastic remark because in reality a lot of people, particularly Americans enjoy watch singing competition shows. Ordinarily, music is part of American music. The movie is quite impressive for including over 85 hit songs. Including songs like Stay with me by Sam Smith, Bad Romance by Lady Gaga and not entirely appropriate for children, cute bunnies singing Anaconda by Nicki Minaj. The way the movie relates to music and American is a redeeming quality, but not enough to oversee the fact that the movie was …show more content…
The movie follows the typical story that dreams always come true. Yes, that is true, sometimes, but movies like these send the same messages about how dreams and ambitions can be fulfilled. Why teach children the same concept again and again? Also the movie did not differentiate from any other animation about talking animals. It was very similar to a recent animation, Zootopia, released by Disney in 2016. Consequently, the story was very cliche I do not think it is not worth spending money for because there are very similar to other movies. The only positive about the movies was that you didn't drag on it was straight forward. Most movies are very long, especially children movies and I liked that it was straight to the point with the idea that dreams can come true as long as you work hard and never give up. Determination and being hopeful is very important to children, but there is so much more children need to be taught. Today, children movies just seen repeated and they are not as entertaining as they used to
The Lion King film is not just an animated Walt Disney film but an inspirational movie. I think this is a good movie for anyone to watch because it has a lot of meaning for example, life lessons. Throughout the movie, there were different examples of life lessons such as hope, justice, and perserverance. I would definitely watch it again and children and adults to watch this movie.
Many people hail “The Star Spangled Banner” as the greatest piece of American music. The audiences of America’s national anthem seem, instinctively, eager to express their respect by embracing the notion to remove their hats and stand up. However, not many people ponder over the question of what “The Star Spangled Banner” truly means. What does it mean? Why does it deserve so much reverence and honor? What exceptional difference allows it to prevail over the masterpieces of prominent composers like Mozart and Beethoven? The answer is fairly simple. “The Star Spangled Banner” symbolizes America’s perseverance, its set of moral laws and ethics, and its history that constitutes what America truly means.
This movie was inspiring and encouraging to anyone who is struggling with something. Overcoming his controversies in life became the main point of the movie. Knowing that this movie was based upon a true story inspires the people even more.
This film unlike most others on the same topic had no real event to focus on. There was not just one climax or specific scene that the others built up to or supported. I cannot say that I enjoyed it but I do feel it has to a great extent affected me. The only reason I feel that this film is one worth watching is because of the latent message it holds. It very successfully exposes authority and bureaucracy in society. The characters in this film portray people that are either convinced or have been convinced that are crazy.
Honestly I thought that the movie had such a simple story but at the same time it is so complex. The way it was delivered it was amazing, it's such a moving film. The actor’s were amazing, there isn’t anything I would want to change about this film. I would 100% recommend this movie to anyone, its so inspiring and it really makes you think.
All of Pixar’s iconic films are inspired from small ideas drawn from aspects of everyday life. One of the most prominent inspirations was channeled into the film Finding Nemo. Andrew Stanton, a high ranking director and producer for Pixar, used his memories of a fish tank in a dentist’s office from his childhood as half of the story in Finding Nemo. Stanton’s sympathy for the fish and being an overprotective father served as the other half of the basic story and together the two memories formed the emotional anchor for the film. Another idea that spawned from a staff member helped create the unforgettable and heartfelt film Toy Story. John Lasseter, the chief creative officer of Pixar, owned many rare and collectible toys, and became nervous whenever his kids wanted to play with them. However, the real message, Lasseter realized, is just because a toy is signed by Tom Hanks, it does not mean that it is sentenced to life on a shelf. Channeling that type of thinking into all of the toys in Toy Story is what makes the film so cherished and more easily relatable. Another popular film is The Incredibles, which is Pixar’s tribute to pop mythology, comic books, and spy movies. The other inspiration for this movie deals with an average, everyday family life: the fear, anxiety, work, and insecurities that happen throughout a day. Combining the two aspects make for a very interesting, action-packed film, while also being very sincere and family-friendly. Pixar films were not all inspired from personal experience and passion. A documentary about the Rainforest Mountains in Venezuela made by Adrian Warren was the inspiration behind the movie Up. Inspiration can come from anywhere, and Pixar proves that anything can be ex...
American Exceptionlism is basically the idea that we are different then other countries in the world. Which I believe is false because the U.S has these rules but there not really writing down rules there just like norms that American should have. There are certain attributes that a American should have there are things you should know as a American. Now what am I talking about it could be many things such as knowing who the president is in the big chair in D.C or having a huge truck that can drive up heels. Having the U.S flag out on Memorial Day. So many things can be things that make American. What I want to solely focus on is the idea that country music is what it is to be an American and accepted in the U.S.
Final thoughts, I really liked this film and really can't think of anything I had an issue with. The musics fitting, the cinematography is good and the ending is great. That said the whole time I was watching Re-Animator I kept thinking of how much this film feels like Return of the Living Dead and that made me just want to watch that instead. But that's just me and I still heavily recommend you watch this film should you find yourself with time to watch a true cult classic.
The animals in the movie were singing and listing ever carefully. They all participated in the meeting in one way or form.
In this day and age, pop music dominates the airwaves at every turn. Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, and many are commonplace names among teenagers and younger demographics not only in the United States, but all around the world. The United States has accepted the position of international, cultural role model long ago, dating back to the 1950’s when rock and roll caught fire as a hybrid of blues, country, and jazz and spread to the rest of the world almost infectiously. Since then, every major artist that comes out of the United States has easily become a global icon, regardless of the language or nationality of their adoring fans. However, one could conceive that this glamorized version of music comes less from the soul of the artist and is merely born of fiscal ambitions and visions of grandeur. The point made previously is not to critique any pop icon’s talent, which clearly they have proved to possess an abundance of it to keep the public swooning at their every whim, but instead, to show that there are musicians out there producing beautiful music without the threat of corruption and adherence to mainstream culture.
...as when I watched this movie. It was a nice journey for me too to imagine the ancestral truth and to visualize the stages of development that has taken place in forming this world. I can feel that this wasn’t an easy journey for those that were witness to the transition between generations. It is interesting to imagine that the world in which we live today was a different world back then. The other interesting thing is after watching this movie, I was wondering about the story of ‘Jungle Book’ how the character mowgli lived among the animals and I compared it to the human life back in the day that perhaps today as we fear tiger and all the other wild animals, may be back in the day humans lived among animals and they may have shared friendship during those days. In the end, this movie was an interesting journey of intro specking my own genealogical truths.
The film does a great job showing how powerful myths can be. It shows how even though people can believe that myths are outdated they are still used, and still influence different parts of our culture today. This series poses many though provoking examples of how myths influences everything from religion to seemly unrelated films such as Star Wars. This series is a must see for anyone who enjoys mythology, or anyone who is questioning their place in the heavens among the
...r, this movie is lack of depth of storyline. The audiences can even predict what will happen in the next scenes. Moreover, the ending of this movie is too cheesy and irrational according to me. If only they change the ending to become more interesting and rational, I will give a four or five stars out of five. In spite of a lame twist ending, this movie is a perfect example to show that managers should be able to motivate and challenge their employee. It is important to remember that a happy employee means a productive employee.
...amily she finds the true meaning of being brave and saves her family (“Brave”). I like this kind of movie instead of a man being the brave and independent one now the woman is. These are the kind of fairy tales that need to be told so that women do not feel the need to be weak and dependent on other people. If fairy tales slowly become more realistic then I think they are a good thing but teaching women to not be strong or if their not a size 0 and gorgeous, well that in my eyes is not okay.
To conclude, I think this movie is a good example to show how a homeless person lived and how he survived his life from being a homeless. Throughout all his life he showed what can determination do even though there are obstacles in the way. Doing is best paid off his hardships. So from dreaming big, be determined on what you're trying to do, and be responsible on things will make you succeed in the future.
