“Office Space” is a comedy movie of a man who desperately hates his job and his boss. The movie begins with Peter Gibbon’s daily life story at Initech. At work, Peter has to deal with his indifferent boss, Bill Lumbergh, who doesn’t want to listen to his employee’s feedbacks. Lumbergh seems to be an ignorant and arrogant man who dictates his employee and doesn’t want to be blamed at all. Moreover, Lumbergh asks his employee to come to work on weekend. The atmosphere in the office is getting more intense after Lumbergh announced that Initech is bringing in consultants to increase the efficiency of the company. Peter was very frustrated with everything in the office and he felt that his life even more miserable with each passing day at work. The following day, he decided to come to see a hypnotherapist in order to help him to have more positive outlook on life. Before the hypnotherapist finishes his hypnotic therapy on Peter, he has a heart attack unexpectedly and then dies. However, Peter was still under the influence of hypnosis and fails to come back to his normal state. The next day, Peter sleeps all day long – he actually supposed to come to work – and ignores all calls from his boss. On Monday, Peter comes to the office to have an interview with the consultants. Here, still under the influence of hypnosis, Peter blatantly tells everything he felt about the company. He even tells the interviewers that he only stare at his desk – looks like he is working – for hours to spend his time at work. In the end of the interview, Peter says that actually he is not lazy, but he has a problem with motivation. Peter has eight different bosses who will come by if Peter makes mistakes, so the only motivation that Peter has is not to be hassle...

...r, this movie is lack of depth of storyline. The audiences can even predict what will happen in the next scenes. Moreover, the ending of this movie is too cheesy and irrational according to me. If only they change the ending to become more interesting and rational, I will give a four or five stars out of five. In spite of a lame twist ending, this movie is a perfect example to show that managers should be able to motivate and challenge their employee. It is important to remember that a happy employee means a productive employee.

This third case study takes place within the organization called TechnoloComm. The main character in this story is named Jessica Martinez, she was hired by TechnoloComm to work in the human resources department. Specifically, she is working on internal newsletters and publicity for the organization. Peter and Alex, are two men who are a part of her team that works together on the newsletter, communication training, maintaining the company’s website and organization publicity. Their boss’ name is Tom, he is there to check in on their progress and make sure everything is running smoothly.
Acting of movie is very basic for todays standards. The actions of the Miles Bennell aren’t believable or logical. At some points the women of the movie tend of over action simple scenes. The rest of the cast is monotone and have little emotion.It ok casting, but they could of done better. You find yourself laughing at serious point in the film due to the poor acting. This movie could be recut to become a comedy movie, just based off their facial expression.

The significant of Forrest’s “Modern Office” is the development of her characters. Forrest is clearly promoting the genuine characteristics of the people living among us today by using characters from the Modern Office. Within each of these characters, Ellen, Kate, Gretchen, Gail and Fred, Forrest has allowed her audience to experience the realism. That realism is the diversity of the sex gender behavior among males and females, the knowledge of modern human behavior. Forrest did an excellent job of showing the difference of various female attitudes and the focus of racism in Amateur City. The corruption relating to the homicide of Fergus Parker is caused by the all these key characteristics. The represented social, sexual and power dynamic of the “Modern Office” reflect the positive and negative effect of today’s modern world.
This film unlike most others on the same topic had no real event to focus on. There was not just one climax or specific scene that the others built up to or supported. I cannot say that I enjoyed it but I do feel it has to a great extent affected me. The only reason I feel that this film is one worth watching is because of the latent message it holds. It very successfully exposes authority and bureaucracy in society. The characters in this film portray people that are either convinced or have been convinced that are crazy.
The specific job that the listener is being oriented to is not important to the story, either. The setting is a generic office atmosphere. “These are the offices and these are the cubicles.” By using this stereotypical and conventional setting, Orozco makes the things that happen to individual employees even more outrageous.
Honestly I thought that the movie had such a simple story but at the same time it is so complex. The way it was delivered it was amazing, it's such a moving film. The actor’s were amazing, there isn’t anything I would want to change about this film. I would 100% recommend this movie to anyone, its so inspiring and it really makes you think.
The movie was mainly about which group was more superior over the other. I thought the imagery was pretty good. I thought this because I liked the scenery of the movie and the storms but none of the camera angles helped us viewers interpret different situations and what was going to happen. This is how the office cubicle came into being. Today, it is estimated that more than 40 million North Americans spend their working lives in cubicles, with many of them passing more waking hours in the closed-office environment than in any other—even their own living rooms.
Space is crucial when it comes to communicating, the space that you are surrounded by will shape all aspects of the communicating you do. Space is always communicating meaning and from the spaces I observed on campus and in the Student Center I drew meaning from them which allowed me to understand what each space is communicating and what see how each space encouraged or hindered communication. In this paper I will explain my critiques as well as my approval of the quad on campus and the Student Center, I also will give students opinions how the Student Center succeeds or fails in encouraging communication and lastly give my ideas of how space in the quad as well as the Student Center can be improved to encourage a greater level of communication.

Communication within the workplace is often overlooked or not given as much importance as most people should allow, given the amount of time that is spent there. Beyond the more basic verbal speech, one must be aware of the nonverbal symbols and noise that can have an effect on communication. There are also cultural, environmental and internal factors that can effect communication and how successful it can be. The various perceptions that an individual has developed over their life can also effect communication. One’s ability to communicate effectively will determine the success and enjoyment that is to come from their job.
I like the film very much. I think its one of the best films I’ve seen ever. The comedy in the film is just my humour, and the action was okay.
