Sports are loved by kids of all ages. Kid’s develop all types of skills they will need throughout their life. So when it comes to where kids receive their education, decides if where and if they can play sports, I get sometimes get upset. According to Shane Keane, across the country, non-public schooled children have been trying to gain access to a wide variety of public school offerings and activities for years.”(Homeschool v. Public School). Some kids have been granted the privilege to be able to play on local teams. There are still many kids that haven't been granted the privilege to play sports on local sport teams. Why should some kids be granted the privilege but others not. There are many laws and many cases in where parents take their issue to the court. The same statement is always said, “Equal access for homeschoolers to the public schools is a state-granted privilege, not a right” (“Can Homeschoolers Participate”). There is no reason for the number not too be at 50 states. Homeschooled kids being on local teams does not harm anyone. Rebecca Wright says “Homeschoolers pay taxes, and just because they do not use all of a public school's resources does not mean they should be forbidden from using any.” (Pro/Con: Should Home Schoolers). Parents argue, just because they pay taxes doesn't mean they should be allowed to use the school's resources. Public schooled kids have fundraisers and other money raising events too raise money for their sport team. Some local football teams go around and sell cards that have coupons on them. So the question is asked “why should they be able to use the equipment of local sports teams, if they don’t participate in school events and fundraisers”. Homeschooled kid’s don't participate in these events because they are not going to sponsor a school they don’t go
